Man that's some cyberpunk shit right there...almost. Give it 5-10 years.
And the next iPhone is going to be a watch. Are we finally arriving in DA FUTURE?
spend 1000$ on laser surgery then spend 1500$ on Glass sounds reasonable....
If you are really tight for cash, just get the one eye which sees the screen done and wear a monocle.
and then you lose them RIP
Oh god I would be so pissed if I lost something that cost that much.
And the next iPhone is going to be a watch. Are we finally arriving in DA FUTURE?
iPod Nano (2x2 square) with watch accessories is already a thing [t]http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/4/2010/11/nanowatch.jpg[/t] [t]http://rack.2.mshcdn.com/media/ZgkyMDEyLzA2LzA3LzE1XzM4XzEzXzc2Ml9maWxl/056cbcae[/t] whether you could get much phone life out of that is another question, but I'm sure the technology is going to evolve to that capability pretty fast. [editline]20th February 2013[/editline]
Hopefully it will require you to be holding something down while you are asking it do something.
I'm going to bet that it requires you to train your voice (if only so it better understands accent) and maybe set a key command, so instead of "OK glass", you can tailor it a bit further. And since it's a google product, I'm sure people will happily find a way to tailor that stuff if the feature isn't available yet.
You forgot opening 50 tabs of it.
Good luck doing that without them punching you in the face!
People, stop worrying about your fucking glasses with all these new devices. I'm talking about this, and oculus rift. Do you think they will not make these things compatible with around 50% of people who need glasses? I Read somewhere that there will be different versions of google glass to fit over regular glasses.
OR you could get contacts.
I wonder how accurate that speech recognition will be. If it's anything like on Youtube it'll be a joke feature
I wonder how accurate that speech recognition will be. If it's anything like on Youtube it'll be a joke feature
That's speech transcription, not speech recognition. I imagine it will be identical to the recognition that android phones use.
Fucking incredible.
I wonder how accurate that speech recognition will be. Tweeted so i could enter, Think it'd be cool if i was able to stream or record my speeches and public hearings in city hall from a First person perspective.
$1500 for augmented vision It's really awesome but you can expect to be robbed the second you're seen with it in public
I want a pair eventually, but will it be "compatible" with glasses? In the pictures it doesn't even seem to have lenses, does that mean lenses could be added for use with glasses?
I give it a month before it's a porn industry standard.
You're life will be taken over by google.
The video quality isn't to bad, well considering that the camera on Google Glasses only records in 720p I can easily see it go up to 1080p
this looks like an alternative more technical version of gopro
this looks like an alternative more technical version of gopro
It's much easier to mount a GoPro since you have more options, for Glass, it's almost always on your head which gives a first person perspective but is on the right side of the glasses so it's off a little which is okay.
I hope it works with regular glasses, so I don't miss out because of being shrotsighted. Honestly the whole "glasses" thing seems like it excludes quite a bit of people (not just shortsighted) for a product that is advertised as for everyone and anything.
I'm sure Google, being the billion dollar innovator they are, will not exclude people with glasses.

The GoPro is for sports and mounting to obects. This can go on your face and has many uses, but it won't replace a GoPro.

"Okay glass, what does the scouter say about his power level?"
They stole Cookie's glasses
They stole Cookie's glasses
Or maybe he sold his prototype? :v:
"Your really wearing glasses on a good day like this?" "My vision is augmented." Seriously though, Wouldn't that LED thingy be hard to see when its like noon and sunny out?
Battery life is going to be appalling in something that small with that much functionality I still want some though.
