The Infinity is such a fucking joke. The amount of shit on it is just stupid as hell. It can fit ten fucking forward unto dawns in its hanger.
The Infinity is the ultimate Mary Sue space ship. Dumbest fucking thing ever.

I'll take that as a compliment on my taste.
I think we all know what this thread is all about anyway.

My friend and I couldn't even make it through 4's campaign even though we have always been massive fans of the earlier co-op campaigns. It's that bad.

God forbid someone care about a franchise in one of their favorite hobbies.
I was just wondering, but a lot of Dunkey's stuff gets posted on FP frequently. Should I make a Dunkey megathread or something?

Apparently the Infinity is "the most powerful warship since the Forerunner fleet". I like the idea of it, but it seems really overpowered and was just used as an excuse for halo 4 to have a ship that had everything. They started building it during the war against the covenant, which makes it even worse.

I really want to see it get split in half.

If you think he's salty then you need to read the Halo thread weeks before Halo 4. Oh man a lot of us were mad.
I think the more and more that got revealed about Halo 4, the more and more people realized what 343i was doing before the game came out. They redesigned everything to look more generic Sci-Fi in a world with an already established look for everything. The Sangheili got redesigned into like, beasts (Which sort of carried over from Reach, but it made sense there, they didn't know much about the Elites so it could be argued it's a perception thing), and the Grunts. Just, ugh, their redesign.
Wow, I never knew it was this bad.
I always felt like a hopeless struggle against the Covenant was always fun.
Mean like, Humanity was actaully a bit stronger on land fighting but the covenant had ships that just wrecked entire planets.
And the elites look like shit, they used to be enemies you could somewhat respect with their design.
[QUOTE=ZombieDawgs;41593142]To be honest Humanity is a fucking force to be reckoned with when the Infinity is on the field.
The Infinity is probably one of the best things to come from 4, design wise at least it looks like what happens when you get Covenant + Human + Forerunner tech and smash it together.
I like it.

As much as I hated Halo 4 I've got to agree with you on this. I really didn't mind the Infinity in of itself, it was pretty cool. And I also really liked that scene in Spartan Ops. I can just imagine the conversation on the Infinity's bridge:
"Sir! We're coming out of slip-space, but scanners have detected a Supercarrier in our direct trajectory!"
"Full power to forward shields."
"Sir?"
"Punch it."
I guess the idea of the Infinity is good enough, humanity does seem pretty desperate to begin claiming a lead role in the galaxy, but I never liked its use, or its design. I know the new art style is supposed to represent a new humanity, but the blocky appearance of the Human-Covenant War era UNSC always looked better in my opinion. I liked the clearly drawn line between smooth, rounded alien and ships and a design that is really what you'd expect from human space warships in modern science fiction.
Man, I really have to replay Halo CE sometime, that game was my childhood.
When I was around 10 me and my two older brothers used to sit in a dark as fuck room and play this 'til 6 am.
The Halo theme always brings up good 'ol memories...

Gameplay? Yes, Cinematics and not actually make a butt-fucked up story line? Nah m8 (as long as we ignore the main storyline and just take it on its own (while also ignoring the other things like the art style))

You thought Spartan Ops story was good? Are you ignoring the whole let's bring an Alien artifact on the UNSC's most expensive ship ever without actually knowing what it does? Or how about let's all be dicks to Halsey even when she was the only one that cared about the Spartans, ONI forced her to use augments that weren't tested properly and is the sole reason why Spartans exist.

The UNSC has always been full of retards so I could sort of excuse it v:v:v
I personally think that 343i made a fairly good game, they just didn't make a good Halo game....if that makes any sense whatsoever.
But yeah my favourite part of the game was definitely the soundtrack. The one that plays towards the end of the video is called "Arrival" I think. I first heard it when the OST got leaked and it was the only thing I didn't force myself not to look at so as to not ruin that "first time playing new game" feel and it hyped me up for the game so much.
Unfortunately I didn't get that feel at all, hopefully I will if I play Halo 5 at a friends house or something.

Halo 4 was fun. Was it messed up in a lot of ways? Definitely. Instead of respecting established Halo lore, it did it's own thing. But I am excited for Halo 5. I liked Halo 4 and I'm glad to see the series go on.

I just don't like the concept of a ship the size of the country of Montenegro and having near infinite power and can asspull literally anything. It's such a fucking mary sue that it's hilarious.
