He can't pronounce most of them, its pretty funny. Whats sad is the fact that he actually cares about this. And I remember my younger days of opening card packs, getting excited at what I would get. Was it really $5 for one pack? I don't remember it being that expensive.
What the fuck is Leafeon and Glaceon? And I thought Umbreon and Espion were a stretch when they came out.

It sounds like he doesn't recognise them. When he got out Espeon it seemed like he had to read it first.
And the new Pokémon aren't any more shit than the old ones were, it's just we've gotten used to the bad old ones and look back at them fondly, and people generally don't like new things. Mr. Mime is a pretty bad design in my opinion. Although I do agree that a higher percentage of the newer Pokémon are of bad design than they used to be. Also I hate how the legendaries are more like deities than just being legendary.

I cringed whenever he couldn't say the names of the cards.
Currently, there are 528 pokemon species known to exist and we're getting a hundred more in september when the new games release in Japan. I am probably the only guy on this forum who likes the fact that there are new pokemon on the way.
I mean, if some kid gets into pokemon right now, he wouldn't really care about the "original" 150 anyway. They won't care about OUR old childhood memories. They will care about pokemon like Arceus, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyogre, etc. yet still respect the pokemon of old, as equal to the new, that is.
Also, did he just say "hippopotato"?
