Felt like the player was staying alive too long and killing enemies too easily, but then again, it's a trailer and they probably did that to showcase the game a bit more. I imagine, or at least hope, that in the final game it's much more intense
its battlefield, dude. don't expect the campaign to actually be anything more than a shooting gallery with a narrative.
It's got those scripted events that are added to the world, rather than made to drive it. The soldier huddled up behind some wreckage cowering during the tank section hits especially hard, reminds me of watching NPCs dragging or consoling soldiers in the old Call of Duty games.
The game seems to be going back to the style of Medal of Honor and early CoD but with modern presentation and much less of a 'triumphant' tone, to say the least. Especially since World War I was basically a 'great war' that ultimately was a bunch of angry nations throwing men and then-modern tech at eachother to essentially compare dick sizes compared to WWII having a definitive bad guy in most people's minds.
WWII in the newest engine would sound good right about now. Or maybe Korean war.
I'm kind of hoping they continue this trend of conflicts that have less exposure in media and do the Korean War next. I also wouldn't mind a more grounded take on modern war either where the campaign would be like BF1 and follow different soldiers from different countries in Afghanistan and Iraq and basing it upon real battles.
Man, that 'permadeath' character switching thing is so good but what if someone like DSP plays it and ends up dying so many times that the Allied forces would already be completely wiped out

They did this already in 2010's Medal of Honor, it was alright to be honest. To be honest, I'll love them to do WWII again. It's been too long.
A Frostbite 3 WW2 game would be dope. Not only would it be refreshing to have an arcadey WW2 game to come out again amidst all the recent realism games, but seeing a StuG, Arisaka and an MG-42 with DICE audio and animations would be sex.
