right.
when do I get the coins and where can I see my balance?
Hey see that number behind HW?
Yeah that means hardware errors.
You have 146 hardware errors and are basically destroying your own GPU.
I'm only doing like 14kH/s. My computer is a joke, so damn outdated. I hope I can buy anything with those coins some time later.
It's just your GPU, just slap in a HD7950 and you're golden.
Or you could do a triple crossfire 7950 and get crazy Ɖ

How the hell am I supposed to afford those things?

Yeah I'm getting paranoid now. I'll stop lol. How do I check the hardware errors?

What.

Are you shitting me, why is this not mentioned ANYWHERE?
[editline]21st December 2013[/editline]
Wait, what kind of hardware errors would that even be?
what are hardware errors and how do they happen?
what are hardware errors and how do they happen?
Instability in the GPU where it's not producing the correct result. Like how overclocking a CPU can cause errors and glitches.
Either your GPU is not getting enough voltage, it's too hot, or it is just simply running too fast.
Cryptocurrency Mining: not for the casual person

Well I accidentally overlocked my GPU core to its maximum capacity before for a short while, so that would explain it.
Got about 3000 now after leaving it on for a little bit every day, don't want to leave it on for too long and let it overheat
If your GPU has a proper fan and fan profile it should be fine.
If your GPU has a proper fan and fan profile it should be fine.
My fan refuses to adjust to the heat. I have to manually adjust it. Not hard to do, but it does get a bit annoying sometimes.
I just leave it at max, don't care too much about my room sounding like a leaf blower

r.i.p your GPU when your fan kicks the bucket
I just leave it at max, don't care too much about my room sounding like a leaf blower
Install something like MSI afterburner and make a fan profile so it only will ramp up at certain temperatures.
r.i.p your GPU when your fan kicks the bucket
fans are meant to spin I think he's good
Using cudaminer, I keep getting the "result does not validate on CPU!" message. What am I doing wrong here?
This is my .bat file:
cudaminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://fast-pool.com:3333 -O *****.********:********* -i 1 -H 1 -l L27x3
The voltage output of my gpu is broken so I can't connect the cooler to the cpu itself. I needed to cut the wire and solder it to one of the 6 pins that you need to connect at the side. Not a good idea because it's really loud but I use headphones all the time so I don't mind.
Video is great, 10/10. Definitely will be watching again soon.
So I have been mining dogecoins for the past day and I went from 4 dogecoins to 1000. Am I rich now???

I keep it at 60-70% when mining. Too paranoid to use it on anything higher for longer periods of time. 40% when gaming.
Yeah, really, there is no point in this.
For me atleast, because my HD3870 doesn't even support OpenCL.

Why's that? are you worried about the the fan bearings wearing out or what?
Why's that? are you worried about the the fan bearings wearing out or what?
it can damage your gpu, they aren't really designed to be going at 100% for hours on end.
I mined for 24 hours and made 6000 doges, just in case they blow up again. I realized I shouldn't be mining because my card is at 80 degrees constantly.
I almost have 200 doges, but the damn pool won't send them to my wallet. It's been over 24 hours since the request you damn pool.
Got 15 doges. Damn it feels good to be a gangsta
