I see you're using minerd, use this format
minerd.exe --url stratum+tcp://pool.chunky.ms:3333 --userpass poolnam.workername:workerpass
make sure port is correct for your pool
It was the worker setup I had at the end. When I saw the tutorial I was under the impression that worker_id was to be written as worker_1
but infact I just needed the number 1, seems to be working now. Thanks :)
Np, after this block im mining is finished I can send 20 CPUs to mine for your worker for an hour or so if you'd like

I have no idea how that would work but would be grateful for any assistance
sent you a steam invite anyway, easier to talk there

Sup.
Fast-pool.com seems to be much better than chunky. :3
Join pls.
yeah fastpool is great

been mining since yesterday myself and got me a reasonable amount already.
I'm even considering building a mining rig.
welp no point in mining anymore, should've thought of that earlier
yesterday i got 190 in less than an hour, now i get 0.5

fast-pool
i get 135khash/s
Is there anyway to boost the usage of my cpu? I feel like my CPU is barely trying to work out anything.
My temperatures are like 4 degrees above idle and I'm getting a piddley 0.08 Mh/s

So how long does it take to confirm it, or isn't that how it works? I'm still new to this.

Mine on your gpu.
Mine on your gpu.
Really? Even with my nVidia 460?
I would've thought 8 threads of an i7 would be better than my three year old GPU that's not far off dying.
80khz is ~decent~ for CPU but youd probably get more hashing on your 460

Your gpu is made for loads of calculations, your cpu isn't.

2-3 hours. maybe longer depending on the pool
Selling DayZ gift trough steam for dogecoins

Whaaaat
My mind exploded a little there
Also would the temperature spike in my GPU and power usage for a higher gain be better than a slow and steady but barely noticable CPU change?

Your cpu mostly does basic calculations and instruction processing, and IO, your gpu does large calculations like graphics. Or bitcoin mining, @home mining.
More or less. Just examples.

with dogecoin? Hell yeah. It won't exist for much longer I'm sure.

Hmm, I may stick with CPU mining for now as i'm concearned with the health of my GPU (it no longer shows anything during the BIOS screen I get no signal to my monitor at all until windows boots up, regardless of what PC it's plugged into, I even called gainward and they were like wtf, never heard of that issue)
BUT for christmas I'm getting a 770phantom, so I guess I could switch to CUDA mining then

You might as well not mine, you're not going to gain anything with just your cpu. Too slow.

sad face :(
Nvidia Quadro gooooo!!!
row row fight da powah
So yesterday I apparently got ~40 every 20 minutes, now I get 10.. god fucking damnit

I am in a pool btw, if that makes any difference..plus i have 20 coins now, can't I buy a yacht and retire now? :v:
I feel like every cryptocurrency is the equivalent of the U.S. Gold Rush; everyone who did it at the beginning is sitting on a big mound of coins, and after it gets attention, the everyday user tries to cash in on it like gold panning.

THAR BE GOLD IN THEM THAR HILLZ
I put 10k DOGE into cryptsy, right now it's almost a whole $10 USD!
Anyone got a link to a good Cuda miner? fuck it, i'll give it a go, if my GPU dies I'll be getting a new one for christmas anyway.
Also is it possible to run both a CPU and GPU miner at the same time?
