I'd join in on this as well as bitcoins but I've got no goddamn clue how to set up the miner.
I haven't found a pool with registrations everything is private
Can you mine with both the GPU and CPU in two separate CMDs on the same PC?
whats the best / fastest pool you guys are using?
Oh wow, i don't know if it's pool related but I can't get higher than 30 khash/s I suppose I'll leave it on for a while.
Wouldn't it be better to just buy 10 dollars worth of dogecoins and sit on it? I mean it's not like they cost a lot
Oh wow, i don't know if it's pool related but I can't get higher than 30 khash/s I suppose I'll leave it on for a while.
Are you mining with GPU or CPU? Because CPU mining is slow compared to GPU.
Wouldn't it be better to just buy 10 dollars worth of dogecoins and sit on it? I mean it's not like they cost a lot
Yeah but I don't think anyone would want to admit to having paid for "doge coins".
Are you mining with GPU or CPU? Because CPU mining is slow compared to GPU.
I'm using GPU, but it's on a laptop. (geforce 710M) I don't know if I can boost it somehow though.
Where exactly can you pay for them/buy them?
My dogecoin-qt.exe's started crashing on boot, any ideas?
Yeah but I don't think anyone would want to admit to having paid for "doge coins".
I feel no shame in admitting to that if it could potentially give me loads of money
Oh sweet, I got 27 coins now, looks like someone's gonna be rich in a couple months.
Oh.
Oh sweet, I got 27 coins now, looks like someone's gonna be rich in a couple months.
How long does it take to dig these bastards anyway? :v: Solo digging seems pointless and I can't find a pool that works... Or I'm setting it up wrong.
I got 4.5 unconfirmed coins in about 12 hours using my machine, which gave me a constant 3.4 khash/s :v: I mean, it's something, isn't it? [editline]20th December 2013[/editline]
I haven't found a pool with registrations everything is private
doge.gentoomen.org has open registrations, small fees, and donation that you can set to 0% if you want to
Well I got 2 coins in about 15 minutes with the GTX 550ti, but the thing slows down the PC completely. I'm gonna try on the other PC with the nvidia quattro nvs 290.

Nothing works. [t]http://i.imgur.com/JaCyzTD.png[/t] I'm just guessing that "Username" and "Password" is for the workers.
So like is there any way to turn these in to actual money in my bank account, otherwise I feel like it'd be pointless
if i leave my PC on , mining with my gpu for arround 12 hours with its temp constantly on 72C ( with fan speed nearly maxed out ) it wont cause any damage right? lots of questions yes but i just want to be sure
pardon my complete lack of understanding, I just don't want to miss another opportunity like I did with bitcoin :v:

What's up with everyone having super low rates? I'm getting about 120+DOGE every few minutes, if I'm lucky I sometimes even get ~200
What's up with everyone having super low rates? I'm getting about 120+DOGE every few minutes, if I'm lucky I sometimes even get ~200
every FEW MINUTES? , i get arround 140 if i mine like for arround 2 hours, whats yer pool mate?
Oh man, a block took 458.02% expected number of shares to be discovered. Reminded me of how long it took when there were only 25 people in the pool.
Mined all night at ~51KH/s in a pool and somehow didn't get shit? Welp. [editline].[/editline] Nevermind, it's just slow to update :v: Got ~240 DOGE.
Step 1: Download the wallet and mining software HERE. It's a 7z file so get 7zip if you don't have it already. Step 2: Open the wallet (dogecoin-qt.exe) and let it sync, then go to Much Receive and note down your address. It's case sensitive and stuff. Also, copy the Dogecoin.conf found in the MINERS folderand paste it in your AppData\Roaming\DogeCoin folder. (quick access to this folder by "running" (win+R) %appdata%\dogecoin ) Step 3: Join a pool by signing up and set up your donation amounts and receive address and junk in Edit Account http://doge.gentoomen.org/ http://doge.scryptpools.com/ http://doge.netcodepool.org/ http://doge.cryptovalley.com/ http://doge.cryptopool.it/ http://doge.pool.webxass.de/ http://www.dogecoinpool.com/ Step 4: Create a new worker in the My Workers menu, give it a name and a password. Step 5: Open the MINERS folder and the subfolder according to what you're gonna mine on (I recommend GPU, select your brand) and select the .bat file you will be using (use the normal one, not the SOLO one), open it in Notepad and change the values POOL-ADDRESS, PORT, USERNAME, WORKERUSERNAME, WORKERPASSWORD to match your pools address, port number (you get these from your pool's main page or getting started page) and the username and password you set for your worker. Save your .bat file when you are done Please note your USERNAME.WORKERUSERNAME is your username you made when you joined the plus and the workers username you set up earlier. So many people are only using one of the other and receiving errors. Say if I joined the pool and my user name is Doge then I set up a worker with the name dogeworker I would put it in the batch file as Doge.dogeworker. Step 5: Turn off UAC because it fucks with the miners. Run the .bat file you just created as Admin and mine coins. You're done. You don't need to have anything but the bat file's command window up while mining, so you can close your wallet and browser just fine.
