Nobody can outright masturbate or show their genitals in public even during a pride parade because, as surprising as this may sound, it's still illegal to do that. Your butt is not part of your genitals. Male nipples are not part of your genitals. It's gross as fuck when a forty something year old dude with a hairy back is showing his butt with hair sticking out, yes, but it's not their genitals. Would it be able to harm a child ? No. Children see all sorts of weird and gross shit and they don't get scarred for life for it. I do think showcasing your fetish in public is distasteful but not because of the children, simply because it allows people to make really stupid shortcuts like "gay people = exhibition of weird fetishes". A kid who's ten years old won't even know wearing tight leather and assless chaps is a fetish so they can't make that assumption. If you expose your kids to weird shit early in their life they'll just get used to the fact people like to do weird shit and that it may not necessarily hurt them at all, which makes it okay. A kid's mind isn't so ungodly fragile that showing it any form of unfriendly material will blow it up and leave a husk behind.
do you want me to show you a bunch of NSFW photographs from stockholm pride 2013 (not mine) [editline]3rd July 2015[/editline] [QUOTE=Ganerumo;48114885] If you expose your kids to weird shit early in their life they'll just get used to the fact people like to do weird shit and that it may not necessarily hurt them at all, which makes it okay. As long as you url tag them I don't see a problem with it. Also I know that children aren't fragile little things that will mindbreak whenever they see something out of the ordinary because I was an underage kid ten years ago and despite seeing stuff like animals fucking, stumbling on some of my relatives naked, spending time on beaches where being topless was allowed, watching commercials for soap and health products with naked woman rubbing them over their tits and other things that you'd consider harmful due to being sexually connoted, I didn't lose my shit over it.
[QUOTE=bitches;48114190]Implying gay people are predators[/QUOTE] actually i'm implying that you are promoting a rape culture by not giving a shit about whether or not a child wants to be at the parade where people walk around exposing themselves
[QUOTE=ryokenshin;48115008]actually i'm implying that you are promoting a rape culture by not giving a shit about whether or not a child wants to be at the parade where people walk around exposing themselves[/QUOTE] How is this even relevant to rape Do you even know what rape is
[QUOTE=ryokenshin;48115008][...]that you are promoting a rape culture[...][/QUOTE] W-What? Regardless of whether there are nude people at a gay pride event (Which the majority surely is not), how does nudity promote a rape culture? Did you know you can take kids to a nude beach?
[QUOTE=Ganerumo;48115020]How is this even relevant to rape Do you even know what rape is[/QUOTE] Non-Consenting Sexual acts. which include exposing yourself to someone who doesn't consent to being exposed to. which whether or not a child can take seeing a cock or a vagina is not relevant to that fact a child can't consent to sexual acts. i think people need to stop having such a problem with sexuality in public to an extent public masturbation is illegal. complete nudity is also obviously illegal. at any kind of regulated pride parade these things will not show up a child seeing a man or woman in a gimpsuit not performing any kind of sexual activity isn't going to screw them up for later life i fucking wish i was less sheltered from sex as a child, i'll tell you that.

You can't lose your virginity to staring at a pair of tits. Second, you can't show your cock or your vagina in public, not in usual circumstances, not during a pride parade. I feel really sorry for you if you feel raped every time you see breasts in public.
I think we should all step back and see how this discussion has derailed from the original topic. No one is or was sexually assaulted at this event.
[QUOTE=gastyne;48115320]I think we should all step back and see how this discussion has derailed from the original topic. No one is or was sexually assaulted at this event.[/QUOTE] Exactly. The topic is actually about a child (seemingly) standing for equality and love rather than listening to blind hatred from a bunch of religious dicks The real questions are whether or not the child actually understood what was going on, and if what the Christians said can actually be described as hatred, or just ignorance and stupidity
[QUOTE=Rixxz2;48115392]Exactly. The topic is actually about a child (seemingly) standing for equality and love rather than listening to blind hatred from a bunch of religious dicks[/QUOTE] You're the one who derailed the thread super hard into yet another THINK OF THE CHILDREN discussion
[QUOTE=Ganerumo;48115410]You're the one who derailed the thread super hard into yet another THINK OF THE CHILDREN discussion[/QUOTE] I know, and I'm sorry for that, let's instead get it back on track again
[QUOTE=dgg;48104315]Gay pride is about acceptance, tolerance, understanding. If you don't learn that as a child you'll have a tough time learning it as an adult. In other words, everything, really.[/QUOTE] The church is about the same stuff. Or different good stuff. Parents bring kids to the church because it's about being good, kind, faithful, rightous and helping people around you. Involving a child in any kind of protests or ideologic activity is the same because the child can't decide if it really wants the event. Its absolutely same as when in Russia kids are brought to military parades, dressed akin to soldiers. To them it's a game, a fun event and such. But they are already in a political activity with patriotism being subtly forced into them. My point is that gay pride marches are political demonstrations, they are about gay pride, not some buzz words. They are about gays. Your child shouldn't be waving rainbow flags and arguing with lunatics because the child has nothing to do with gay pride.

[QUOTE=Rixxz2;48115423]I know, and I'm sorry for that, let's instead get it back on track again[/QUOTE] You can't try to pretend you're taking the high road and stopping an argument after ending by responding to a well-reasoned post with nothing but "don't have children". Total soccer mom bullshit.
[QUOTE=Ryz0;48104653]why not take a kid to a gay pride parade? whats the worst that could happen [img]https://theincredibletide.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/gay-pride-2011-paris.jpg[/img][/QUOTE] That only occurs in cities like San Fran and NY. :v: The one I've attended in McAllen was platonic.
BDSM pics like that are always cherry picked because on a pure statistic level; the amount of people who are gay is small and the amount who also like bdsm is even smaller and then the amount who are public about it is even smaller still. it's the guy wearing the assless chaps that'll get his picture taken not the large mass of people who are just enjoying themselves gay/bi/straight whatever. it's a stupid assumption to take the small handful of photos that circulate of this sub culture of a sub culture as if it has any standing to what the larger LBGT community is like cause weirdos is weirdos no matter what their sexuality. Notice how in the picture it's just two guys who clearly went together on a backdrop of some 50 people all dressed normally and they are attracted a large amount of looks.

Total soccer mom bullshit.[/QUOTE] disregard the "don't have children" part, it was a heat of the moment kind of thing. I still disagree with his "well-reasoned" post and find it creepy, but continuing the debate will lead to nothing and the thread will just get even more torn apart
[QUOTE=bIgFaTwOrM12;48106394]Classic liberal. [highlight](User was banned for this post ("Awful series of bad posts and bigoted crap" - Craptasket))[/highlight][/QUOTE] holy shit I swear the LGBT community I've known has been leagues more accepting than the christian community I grew up with shit I'm at the point where if I meet someone who says they're christian in person I stay a good distance away; way too many of my close friends have been hurt by them
[QUOTE=bitches;48114190]Implying gay people are predators[/QUOTE] What does this post mean? That homosexuals can't be sexual predators or what
[QUOTE=CrucialSeBBi;48117017]What does this post mean? That homosexuals can't be sexual predators or what[/QUOTE] It's blatantly obvious that Bitches is saying that Ryokenshin was implying that gays are all sexual predators, not that gays can't be sexual predators. Stop willfully misunderstanding people.
[QUOTE=Starlight 456;48117064]It's blatantly obvious that Bitches is saying that Ryokenshin was implying that gays are all sexual predators, not that gays can't be sexual predators. The so called "argument" is just 2 sides being passively aggressive to eachother so it's hard to even follow what people are trying to say
A bunch of those Anti-Gay types are near my house. Great.
[QUOTE=Levithan;48116891] shit I'm at the point where if I meet someone who says they're christian in person I stay a good distance away; way too many of my close friends have been hurt by them[/QUOTE] Gee that kinda sounds like hey hold on a minute [I]judging an entire group on the decisions of a few[/I] Boy howdy isn't that somewhat familiar!

Besides, you could just as easily find images of practically-naked straight people at BDSM events like the Folsom Street Fair or even Mardi Gras, which isn't even an event about sex. Hell I could probably find more asscracks at a Tea Party rally than a Pride Parade
[QUOTE=bitches;48117734]I avoid getting close to anyone who can't substantiate their beliefs; such people have a ridiculous tendency to believe a large number of stupid and harmful things.[/QUOTE] That's called being unsure of yourself. When you feel comfortable with your own beliefs, then being around people who disagree with you really isn't a big deal. In fact, it can be a pretty fun experience. You get the opportunity to both listen to other people's opinions, and possibly teach them something along the way.
