But this is a parody of MLP, thus not making it very autism-ly.
Okay, I'm not taking anyone's side in this, but seriously. THIS IS NOT A PARODY
par·o·dy/ˈparədē/
Noun:
An imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect.
In NO way does this exaggerate the style of the author in ANY way.
It just feels like they slapped the cover of the show with crude humor.
I just wanted to put that out there, okay.
But this is a parody of MLP, thus not making it very autism-ly.
How is it a parody though? Pretty much all the MLP tards enjoy it and I don't see how it's actually making fun of MLP.
My Little Pony
Dude, it's just taking MLP and making jokes with it. Who cares if it's related to MLP in any way? Calm down.
Let's just say that these kind of videos have some humour added to it.
If it doesn't contain satirical humor about the actual show, then it's not a parody.
If it doesn't contain satirical humor about the actual show, then it's not a parody.
But... it does...
But... it does...
Maybe because I've watched fuck all of the show I don't see it then. In which case I'd say it's made for people who have decent knowledge of the show.

Umm, except it is an imitation of the show with a deliberate exaggeration for comic effect.
Did you like, not watch it?

You think they actually have Mexican sweatshops in My Little Pony? The white unicorn Rarity is supposed to be the spirit of generosity, but most of the time she comes off as a stuck up bitch.

Pretty much covers "deliberate exaggeration for comic relief."
Other definitions:
any humorous, satirical, or burlesque imitation, as of a person, event, etc.
I think this counts as a "burlesque imitation."
How is it a parody though? Pretty much all the MLP tards enjoy it and I don't see how it's actually making fun of MLP.
I kind of agree with this actually. A lot of the humor in these comes from actually knowing something about the show. Though some people have expressed the idea that they enjoyed APPLE.MOV and DRESS.MOV anyways.
Says the guy with a JB avatar and who is defending MLP
"I have nothing to say, so I'll use his avatar as an argument."
You people argue about anything. I love you guys.
31 new posts. With arguments.
Fucking brilliant.
I laughed way too much at the poking of flutershys ass.
It's a pastiche; an affectionate parody of something. It uses elements and situations taken from the source material and exaggerates or inserts its own logic or jokes into its own narrative.
Can we not just appreciate it for what it is? If your argument against MLP is "IT'S FOR LITTLE GIRLS" well, this clearly isn't, it's a completely different style of humor directed at adults. If it had non-mlp characters in it then it'd be just the same, but it's just slightly funnier if, like me, you know what the 'norm' for those characters is, so you know how they're supposed to act, what character traits they are supposed to posses, and how they have been interpreted by the author.
Now can we please not fucking debate the specific genre of a godammed 4 minute comedy video.
You're an o5'er, by now you should know this is the norm for face punch for people to argue such absolutely absurd, and at times, completely opinion based and purely trivial.
Just wait though, as some minority people parade about calling you an autistic 12/40 year old for liking MLP even slightly, like a 12 year old.
Needs more arguing.

Also they aint doing Spike episode?
Not cool
I really want to find out what's in Fluttershy's shed.
I really want to find out what's in Fluttershy's shed.
Dead animals, maybe? Because of her dagger tattoo.
I really want to find out what's in Fluttershy's shed.
Judging by the content of the previous videos, drugs and mexicans.
needs more fucked up things and randomness like in the first one
I didn't find this remotely funny
HEY HEY HEY! Quit poking me with your thing!
So you combine visual and some plot elements used used in classic cartoons with MLP. Highly original...

That just sounds so wrong.
That just sounds so wrong.
I have to agree. What I mean is the random events/ scenarios that are in old cartoons. Not the story elements.
