I like both the Japanese snake as well as the David Hayter's voice. They're both great.
For a few minutes I thought that it could have been Solidus. Given that his body was recovered, and the state that it was in, and NANOMACHINES and such.
There's always been certain elements (all the weird stuff) in the MGS series that has put me off, but I might check out this one.
Didn't Snake retire? Anyway, nice graphics, sadly I'm sure I won't be able to play this. It will surely be another console exclusive. And was I the only one saying this when the messed-up-face officer finally showed his face?

it's Big Boss in this video, not Snake, solid or otherwise.
I doubt this is actual gameplay footage. It seems unlikely because according to the end of the video this game will get released for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Looks like actual gameplay near the end of the video
HOLY FUCK THE GAMEPLAY

I don't really care for the story, I like the part about clones and conspiracies but shit like transgender cyborg vampires (among other things) puts me off. [editline]2nd September 2012[/editline] I just want to enjoy me some sneaking

Also, play Peace Walker, it's kind of a sequel to the third
What caught my eye is that it doesn't seem like the camera cut to a different scene or such once in the entire video. An interesting take on cinematography in a game, at least.
I think the 3rd was the best because they tried to avoid the anime shit as much as possible
This is fucking beautiful.
I think the 3rd was the best because they tried to avoid the anime shit as much as possible
"Anime shit"?
I think the 3rd was the best because they tried to avoid the anime shit as much as possible
Please explain what you mean by Anime shit instead of being stupidly vague
I think the 3rd was the best because they tried to avoid the anime shit as much as possible
I didnt know robots, ninjas, and mechs were exclusive to anime.
What the fuck is going on? MGS lore makes no sense.
I didnt know robots, ninjas, and mechs were exclusive to anime.
Robocop 3 is my favorite anime
I just don't want 20 and 40 minuet long cut scenes.
I consider myself proud to be the same age as the metal gear franchise, and also the fact i understand everything about the game lore so i knew exactly what was going on in the trailer.
What the fuck is going on? MGS lore makes no sense.
Its possible to explain it, but it would require a few hours browsing the MGS wiki. [editline]1st September 2012[/editline] I blame MGS2 and 4 for making everything an intertwined complicated mess. I still love the series to death, though.
So this place takes place after peace walker?
So this place takes place after peace walker?
[sp]Since it references the final cutscene of peace walker, big boss doesnt have the bandana, he has greyer hair, and you're tracking down paz, i'd say yes.[/sp]

[editline]2nd September 2012[/editline] I just want to enjoy me some sneaking
It gives you Chaos Theory vibes because of strong lighting and his night vision goggles right? Because nothing else there to indicate Chaos Theory gameplay. MGS3 and PW are definitely games for you if you wanna avoid the asinine stuff.
Apart from this, seems like everybody has forgotten Zone of the Enders. Hideo's mech battle game, that possibly exists in the same universe as MGS???

[sp]Snake, Liquid were born in 1972 by EVA, Solidus was some time later, this is a sequel to Peace Walker and probably a prequel to Metal Gear on NES[/sp]
Please explain what you mean by Anime shit instead of being stupidly vague
You know, like in all my Japanese animes! You can call me Otacon, that's short for Otaku Convention! Here Raiden, have a samurai sword you can dance around with an effeminate vampire. The third was definitely the best. Way more emotionally charged, more cohesive gameplay than the fourth while still having better controls than the first two, it was the perfect game tbh.
It's Kojima what do you expect
From this? Definitely something more along the lines of three and PW.

You can find that somewhere in the making of MGS2 Vamp served a more important purpose than you're giving him credit for. http://www.deltaheadtranslation.com/MGS2/DOTM10.htm And I'm not too easily swayed by an emotionally charged plot than I am a plot that makes me critically think, but I hear where you're coming from.
