Oh, sorry, I meant to say Hatred is the spiritual succesor of Postal 2 but we all make minor mistakes here and there, right? And holy fuck, I leave for a few minutes and now a dude is posting that link from American Renaissance, the fucking white nationalist website?
Let me set you straight: Most murders and rapes are intrarracial affairs. This means that most whites are killing and raping each other and most blacks are raping and killing each other. Not exactly a pleasant thing to say and know, but it is what it is. I kid you not, like 80 something percent of whites kill each other while 90 something percent of blacks kill each other. You can easily find those stats alongside interracial murders. Bar and pie graphs are wonderful when it comes to fearmongering because they excel in exaggerating numbers when it's actually the minority of blacks that kill white people. In short, cut the narrative.
You need to chill out to a game of #blocklivesmatter.
uh no?
BLM has a point about black deaths in custody amongst other things the media+police try to sweep under the rug
not every black person who gets shot from the police is innocent, yes, but most seem to have just magically gotten a gun and been shot with it, no suspicion at all
BLM has radicals just like every organisation but to call it an organisation that deserves to be mocked is fucking stupid
have you never made a 9/11 joke
yeah, sure. but people are also allowed to call you a fucking twat if you're making fun of shit that really isn't a source of humour, like, idk, rights movements?
the whole thing just seems like a relatively lazy cash-grab a-la Hatred. Something you can throw together in Unity in a few days, with a provocative title and relying entirely on Internet outrage/"anti-PC" crusaders thinking it's the funniest shit ever. not exactly something to aspire to tbh. 5 minutes of fame to be remembered as "those guys that made that weird game about blocks right??" forever after.
The game was initially called "Box Shooter", had random-coloured blocks, and no faux-Twitter feed.
They only made it provocative/offensive once people on NeoGAF had already gotten offended by it.
Omg the creator of this game is obviously an ignorant shapist!
did everything relating to this game vanish?
but why not mock something worth mocking?
It is.
It started out pretty good but BLM is devolved into a joke that even many black people (including myself) laugh at.
It's social justice meets actual black people.

I don't understand how that happened? How was it offensive before the changes?

.
Except rights movements have been the greatest source of humor this decade.
See
PETA
Feminism
They are both great jokes.
Video is private now.
I don't understand how that happened? How was it offensive before the changes?
Some people don't need anything offensive to get offended. It happened more times than I care to count in the last couple of years.
Well, I think we're talking about how inflammatory politics are being used to market video games over clever, slightly less inflammatory means.
I'd say it's quite clever. It's ultra-cheap marketing and the people who let themselves get offended over it and those mocking them will spread it far and wide.
I don't think there's any issue with inflammatory marketing here as long as the point of contention is a video game. It's not like it's actually promoting racially motivated killings irl.

Plus the Bernie Sanders debacle, way to disrupt a man who seems to actually care about your cause and yet you treat him in the most disrespectful way that you can.
[...]
As far as I could tell at the time, those were people from another more radical group pretending to be BLM possibly to discredit the latter. Don't ask me why though.
Mechanically, the game actually looks really fucking fun and tense.
Would uploading this game for people to play count as warez? The game is free but the devs removed the link for a bug update and I haven't heard from them since.

Apparently the Main devs now has issues unrelated to the game.
UPDATE
Due to a sudden emergency concerning one of the key developers, we regret to inform you that we are postponing #BlockLivesMatter until further notice. In case there is any worry, the emergency was completely outside of the discussions happening around this project.
As is the nature of working with a small team, each member is vitally important and without each individual's contribution we wouldn't be able to bring you the game you would like to play, so we didn't feel we could deliver on the promises that we've made if we continued through Greenlight. We apologize for the inconvenience but hope you understand.
We would like to thank all of you for the support we've received during this short Greenlight campaign. We certainly didn't predict the tremendous amount of support we've received and are thankful for.
were did you find that?

Well I hope it all works out. I'd actually like to play this lol. It looks kinda fun for what it is. As long as it's cheap tho ofc
Yeah, I feel like people are downplaying the potential here just because of the controversy it's stirring. The game looks like it will be really good if it's paced right.
Cut out the ticker and this would have made for an incredible arcade game in the 90s.
