You can change the resolution in project settings or when you go to render your movie. Note that YouTube will shit all over the quality though, which also pisses me off hahah.
Try to use as little distortion as possible, maybe try lowering volume or adding chorus too.

I don't know why people mention Vimeo as an alternative. Vimeo is primarely made for artists to share their work.
To begin with, google+ was fucking terrible to use. Most of the people are already on facebook, and google+ had nothing that stand out. Now they just try to get people to help sustain google+on life support. They should had just abandon google+ a long time ago.

So I go to link my Google+ to my YouTube, since I use another email for non-social stuff, and I can't get the "Other options to update my channel." to appear.

I don't give a shit about them forcing google+ on us. You want to force your dick up my ass Google? Be my guest, just make sure it's small and you use lube. Make it an easy, simple process to make a Google+ account, make sure there aren't problems and glitches. Make the changes from linking negligible. But they didn't. They made Google+ the size of a fucking tree trunk, covered it in Tabasco sauce, barbed wire and broken glass, and THEN raped us up the ass with it. Linking with Google Plus is a horrible convoluted mess that often results in duplicate accounts, and trying to get rid of the duplicate accounts often results in accidentally deleting your Youtube account, meaning YEARS of work simply GONE. When you DO successfully merge your accounts, you lose your avatar (which is a pain in the ass to get back, and when you do, there's visible pixel distortion on your main page), AND your inbox is gone. The comments are now filled with spam and shit, and more often than not the "review spam" page is simply broken, and doesn't allow you to approve or delete ANY of the comments. The Google+ "bell" is a clusterfuck of garbage and is vastly inferior to the inbox, which they've decided to remove comment updates from completely with NO reason to. You outright CAN'T reply to any comment made before the switch to Google+, which is unjustifiable SHIT.
The only possible explanation I can come up with for such a complete and total fuck up of integration is that the Youtube team is upset at Google's requirement to make them implement Google+, and is rebelling by making that implementation as fucking horrible as humanly possible. I can't think of any other possible reason for such extreme incompetence. ANY idiot could come up with a way to implement Google+ functionality into Youtube that's less intrusive than this.
