as a well versed tumblr user who's been to a number of first-year conventions, I've seen good and bad, like
good counter example to dashcon:

For those who don't know, Dashcon said that the people from WTNV would be there for some Q&A or a private show, but when they turned up, the people behind Dashcon said they couldn't pay them.
