They ruined CS. And these commentators are shit. They've made so many mistakes, and even more CS particular mistakes. Oh don't rate me dumb you fucking twats, I've played for 10 years and I used to follow competitive CS closely. Now the graphics resemble CoD and other shit modern games, and the weapons change the old style of CS, not to mention they RUINED dust2.
The only thing I see that is new to CS:GO besides the graphics are all capable of being put into CSS via patch. Now to a hardcore fan of CS or CSS I can understand why you would be excited about how the bullets spread differently. But to anyone else that is not enough incentive to buy it. Until I see something that changes the core game play mechanics I'm only going to pass this game off as an update that costs money.
"It's not really about strategy but getting the weapons and having proper aim" This guy clearly doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about.
Reminds of me of cod big-time, how it looks I'll probably buy it, just to be able to play GG in this new version
the entire point of the new game is to please the competitive community, they recreated the 1.6 mechanics and the only thing "new" is the new weapons which are tweaking so it's not always deagles and ak47s and there's actual balance they are definitely not targeting this game for new comers
As an avid css player i can say the only fun thing about it are the mods, this really doesn't look like anything new.

That'll sell pretty well!

This is just CS:S with better graphics a only a few new features. I'll still pick this up if I get a chance.
Oh don't rate me dumb you fucking twats, I've played for 10 years and I used to follow competitive CS closely.
Why do people mention the ratings they get for a post? 16x16 pixel images seem to have a huge impact on a lot of people here.
Why do people mention the ratings they get for a post? 16x16 pixel images seem to have a huge impact on a lot of people here.
It's not just pixels is someones opinion. It's like saying you should ignore someone insulting you because it's just noise.
Yeah we should keep out of date graphics and the old styles! That'll sell pretty well!
You seem to be overlooking the tens of thousands of people that still play CS 1.6 and CS:S every day. That's like saying Deus Ex: Human Revolution wasn't a good game because its level of graphics could have been matched years before it was released, it's just fucking stupid. So yeah, when they take the same fucking idea of Matchmaking and Ranks and incorporate it into COUNTER-STRIKE, it's pretty fucking annoying. That has been used to DEATH by shit war games lately. Not to mention, the style of Dust2 was completely different, it used to be like a desert theme and it was bright, now it looks like they tried to urbanize it and it just looks like ass. As far as I've been able to see, the only map they've actually made better is Aztec. The commentators messed up plenty, and I KNOW that part of my post wasn't wrong. The rest may be opinion, but any professional CS player will tell you that there is more to playing a competitive match than running around and aiming and firing at your opponents head, which is what one of those morons said was the key to winning. Not to mention, his boyfriend kept giggling every 30 seconds for some unknown reason; way to be professional on his part.
Looks brand new and very exciting!!! I can't wait to play the same game I played 12 years ago!
Oh wow this was at comic con, I was there all 4 days everytime i went by they were playing LoL
It's almost as if they thought it wasn't broken, so they shouldn't try to fix it!
i really liked the fire effect from the molotov. i think valve want something they can play around with. cs 1.6 and cs:s is a no-go, as soon as you touch something all players goes mad. from what i could see, all new models (both map-related, players and weapons), textures, animations (nothing major), spray patterns and enviroment settings. are some of you guys expecting an entirely new game? it's still the source engine and i'm guessing valve do not want to change a lot from the original game. i don't even play cs but this doesn't look that bad, needs a bit of polishing.

You're just a bad CS player. [editline]21st October 2011[/editline] Calm down.
Same shit but on the L4D engine, cocking guns on every reload, reused L4D stuff.... I don't know... doesn't look very exciting to me, I'll probably pass on this.
Winning team won an i7 extreme and the losing team won a BenQ monitor. Was watching this live, I like it.
Please be incredibly unfinished. Please.
The same old "Fire in the hole" is a turn off. I hate hearing that fucking thing every five seconds.

Famause

This exactly like what DotA 2 is to DotA. Except I'm actually excited for this, I always wished CS had proper matchmaking.
What's with all this whining about this? Here is something everybody seems to be overlooking : YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET THE GAME YOU IDIOTS
That is the weakest counterargument I've ever heard.

This looks like a mod.
FUCK YOU ALL THIS GAME GOT TASERS I'M TOTALLY GOING TO BUY IT
On the slip side, simply saying someone's counterargument is weak without saying why, and not providing your own is even worse.
You don't have to provide an explanation why that argument is weak. It's THAT bad. But fine. Going "don't like X, don't buy/watch/listen/etc it" is retarded. It allows no criticism whatsoever. To anything. Don't like Meet the Spartans? Don't watch it. Don't like that your computer is too weak to play minecraft? Don't use your computer. Don't like the weather? Don't go outside. Don't like that there is pubic hair in your sandwich? Don't eat it. Problem solved.
