DotA was a map for WCIII, not an entire game, and really a better comparison for this is CS1.6 to CS:S. IMO Valve should just be working on that, instead of GO. It looks exactly the same, with a graphical tweak. I understand there's a few more guns (and a tazer too, neat I guess).
It looks exactly like CS:S, and I don't really get the point of buying an entirely new title just for a few updates to what they could have added to the previous game. Even L4D2 had some new gameplay and content.

You're fine to criticize whatever you want. The point is when it comes to video games there are always gonna be bad and shitty ones in your perspective. But try looking at someone else's perspective who would love something like this or Call of Duty or what have you. Once again, nobody is going to force you to play. Nobody is forcing you to buy it. And don't expect things to change just because you don't like them. The weather isn't going to change, people are still going to make shitty movies like meet the spartans (The problem literally disappears when you just don't watch it, seriously, try it out!) If your computer is too weak well there's nothing anyone can really do about that unless you go out and make some money and save up for a better one. Nobodies fault, possibly not even yours. And tell me how exactly is comparing a sandwich with pubic hair in it a good comparison to a game nobody is forcing you to buy? At a restaurant you could just tell the manager and you'd probably get a bunch of free food. This is COUNTER-STRIKE. This isn't a whole new game with no relation. When this game is practically a remake, people expect improvements and NEW features. Not the same shit that 50 other games already have re-bundled into something that was good as it was.
Source looks better than this. I don't know a lot of the players, but I know fRoD is a professional, and this game makes him look like just a "good pub player".
So yeah, I am going to fucking stick with 1.6 and Source, but that doesn't mean I want GO making a bad name for the Counter-Strike franchise, because it was great beforehand.
Now it's just an FPS with L4D2 level graphics and some cliche weapons that have been put in fucking every shitty FPS for the last 3 years.

They've said themselves that CS: GO is not meant to be a sequel or "Counter-Strike 2".
All it is supposed to be is CS:S but shinier, available to consoles, and with a few new things here and there.
