Yep this is what you get when you mix poverty, a high rate of single mothers, and a whole music genre that makes crime and violence look fun. I live around the general area of where this is filmed and I can confirm that almost every fucking day you hear on the news "young black man shot" or "girl gang raped". I don't know if its like this for every city, but it happens so much I just get numb to it.
It's like watching old home videos. DPGC 4 LIFE
This is such a hard argument to make. It's completely true that being born and brought up in this lifestyle is like a 100 ton weight strapped to your ankle. It's a hive mind. It's what they know and it's what they've seen their entire lives therefore they believe it's the lifestyle they need to pursue. On the same coin, though, it's completely wrong that there is nothing any of these people can do to escape this life. People throughout history have faced far greater adversity and have still come out a better person. Shame on them for being ignorant and morally bankrupt, but pity on them for not knowing where to start to get away from it.
grove street 4 lyfe
I feel more and more sad as I watch this video but I feel entertained. But then again I am drunk. Did not watch the whole thing. Music in this video is terrible.
Then why did you say you want them deported back to where they came from?
Um, where else do you deport people? i'm pretty sure they don't throw em in the next country over.
Um, where else do you deport people? i'm pretty sure they don't throw em in the next country over.
What makes you know they came from a different country, do you know em personally or something?
we were all apes at one point just because he said ape doesn't mean he said black you made that connection you instantly thought of black people when he said ape I'm not trying to start a race thing here because I dislike the discussion, but you can't come in here as if everyone else in the world is racist when you're clearly one yourself!
worst logic I've ever seen on the internet congratulations

I'm about as disconnected from this kind of thing as I can be in the reasonably-rural northeast. Even knowing shit like this happens regularly is disgusting, but actually being close to it? I really can't imagine it.
is this grove street
In GTA: SA all the Grove Street members acted a whole lot more civilised
Calling me a racist hypocrite won't cover up your obvious faults in explaining your position. I'm not racist, nor am I being hypocritical. You are, however, being idiotic. If you honestly don't believe certain slurs don't have connections with racism then you are a social bombsite. [editline]28th July 2013[/editline] That's hilarious, accusing me of backpedalling. You're not even worth the energy that would take.
Dude accept it, people do call people apes when theyre acting stupid, and when they're that fucking primitive that they're that viloent and shit. It can be said about anyone white, black, mexican whatever. Just because it has been used racistly doesnt mean it can only be used in a racist way.

The reversed AK (knockoff) mag falling was golden

As the typical who's racist discussion starts up I'll chime in. Everyone is racist. Blacks are Racist, Whites are Racist, Asians are Racist and then everyone else is also a racist.
Yeah I'm wrong about the "whole genre " but I would still say that the more "hardcore" songs are a problem. Also the music isn't a main factor, poverty is.
Seems like a modern day game of thrones.
Just came across the 10 minute mark. Living in that neighbourhood is like reversed apartheid.

A two minute song isn't going to convince folks to kill people, the same reason why videogames don't turn you into mass murderers. Thug culture is possibly linked to the distrust of authority. If you've glanced at the history of racial minorities, then you wouldn't be surprised from this. They've been swindled by governments, treated poorly by their employers/owners, antagonized by police officers, etc. They were told to remain lower than dirt from the people who oppressed them, and so they did. If my parents were treated poorly as they were, then no doubt I would join that I would join them.
music isn't any factor, the gangster culture is already there
I like this better than what I said, yes. Edit: Disregard what I said earlier about music.
You have to remember though, that crime and violence as a whole is going down. So things, have been worse [editline]28th July 2013[/editline] also had to stop watching at 13 minutes because watching people get beat the fuck up like that makes sick
A whole racing killing itself. Ignorance, Stupidity. Fuckin sad.
So, what's the official count on the word "nigga" in this video?
So, what's the official count on the word "nigga" in this video?
I don't think they've invented numbers high enough yet
yes all black people are doing this to sully their image and eventually be ethnically cleansed
us fat pasty white folk can only hope it comes to that....
So many people seem to forget that the reason neighborhoods like this exist in the first place is because of anti-black racism. Ever heard the expression "there goes the neighborhood?" It refers to something called "white flight," which occurred mostly during the fifties and sixties, when anti-black racism was still very prevalent, and the civil rights movement was at its height. When blacks started moving into predominantly white neighborhoods, property values would begin dropping, as a result of racism making white families not want to live near them. And so, white families would pull up stakes and move away, taking their businesses and money with them, and leaving the neighborhoods and town they fled from in complete economic ruin. As a result, you had all these outstandingly poor black communities springing up with no chance of healthy development. Where there's no money and no opportunities, gang violence, drugs, and other crime is completely inevitable, and it creates a self-sustaining cycle of violence, poverty, and hopelessness. There's a reason why the areas with the highest crime rates and instances of gang violence are predominantly black, and exceptionally poor, and it's not because black people are more prone to violence and averse to having jobs. It's an echo of the America-that-was, and the saddest part is that it's helping to perpetuate the same kind of bigotry and racism that allowed it to come to that state in the first place. So everybody using this video to try to justify their racism can shove it, because people like you are why these conditions exist to begin with! Black folk aren't acting like these because they're "apes," which is a word I'm seeing thrown around a lot on Facepunch these days (and is outstandingly racist, no matter how you try to justify it); they're acting like this because the environment they live in was handcrafted by anti-black racism that has subjected them to a life where the only real way to survive is to band together in gangs and deal drugs. Ironically, this is also what kills so many.

That's the question, isn't it? Wish I had the answer for it, because whoever could figure out a plan to effectively and quickly reverse so many years of broiling violence and race hatred could win the Nobel Prize.
less poverty = less crime = more intelligent and educated youths that can contribute to our country
