lipsync seems really off, might just be because of the video editing though
also was that in fucking space??

That's probly part of the Glowing Sea, a radioactive region of Boston (similar to the capital wastes)
You can see it in other parts of the trailer
I like how the Mr Handy at 2:05 completely misses and kills its target.
But let's be honest. You don't play Fallout for the overarching story.
It's all about you and the small tales of the wastes.
What about Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas? FO3's main story was quite crap so naturally people preferred the side quests, but the first two games weren't so much grounded in disjointed little tales like that. New Vegas is arguable because it strikes a good balance between main and side quests, but the actual plot is strong and allows you to make and impact - plus the DLCs all feed into the main story too.
Dear god some of those lines were hilariously bad.
I'm still going to get it after mod tools come out though.
Some were kinda cliche.
"We will be saving humankind from its worst enemy....ITSELF!"
:unimpressed:

I mean it is Fallout, this shit is sort of humanity's own fault. If the consequences of the action that line is referring to is close to atomic annihilation. I'd say the line isn't so bad.
Hoooo lee shite
I think I probably understimated when I told my gf for how long I'm going to disappear off the face of the earth when the game releases - she just said she and her best friend is just going to end up buying it and doing the same too probably :v:
Lip syncing seemed pretty iffy from the trailer, but everything else looks spectacular. Can't wait!
huh, at 0:41 there is a handyman with only one arm. Pretty neat.
Lip syncing is definetely bad, BUT it is a MASSIVE step up from their other games. So while not necessarily on part with other games, it's still an improvement!
I'm hyped!

Accurate? Sure. Unoriginal? You betcha.
I feel like any writer worth their weight in cow manure should know to avoid a classic line such as that, but I know, story's not what matters in Fallout games.
amazing music
The beautiful crafted ass is just a tribute to Hideo Kojima of course.
Honestly, the game is graphically unimpressive, and the story is going to be uninteresting. But it's still going to be fucking fantastic.
My only complaint is that all the weapons seem oversized.
seems fine to me. they're not your standard AR15 rifles, they're big blocky bulky laser guns and plasma repeaters
it's always been this way in the FO universe
I still say the graphics are fine, just not 290X fine
Go back to having sex with your toaster then, gearbrain
Oh look at you mr. high and mighty.
Like nobody's ever tried that.
Sweet jesus I've never been so hyped for a game before :excited:
dat deathclaw

He should've said "We don't play Bethesda games for the story." as opposed to Fallout games.
That BoS Elder (I presume) looks and sounds like a tool to be honest.
i don't care if they're ultimately assholes in this, i'm already rooting for the Brotherhood and screw the mutants and robots
iron within, iron without - but mostly without because customisable power armor
That BoS Elder (I presume) looks and sounds like a tool to be honest.
That's because the BoS has always been (canonically) a bunch of technology hoarding assholes who want nothing to do with the new world unless there's tech to be found. From the looks of it, it seems that the BoS views the Institute as a threat to be confronted. Not entirely sure of their stance on Synths and android technology though.
there's a quest in fallout 3 about retrieving an escaped synth from the institute.
also mr. house graduated from mit.

I hope there's a FoNV-type neutral/independent-esque variant for the final resolution. "Live and let live" policy is the only true answer; and all of the crusaders can take their stuff and just fuck right off.
This way also maximizes the net amount of asses I can kick.

Well yeah of course but he just doesn't come across as a cool character to be in that kind of position at all.
I know its common to say story doesn't matter in Fallout but I loved the storytelling in NV and the various factions, I'll be sad to see it go.
Still, this game is going to own even if the story is completely stupid and incoherent like 3.
I mean, it does seem like a waste of a universe to just keep telling the same stories over and over. I don't know the full extent yet of FO4's story, but so far it seems like it again revolves around finding missing family and choosing sides on factions that ultimately don't matter much. Such is Bethesda's story telling abilities.
The BoS better oppress some god damn synths, because I need a faction to do that.
Well yeah of course but he just doesn't come across as a cool character to be in that kind of position at all.
What if he's not the elder? What if he's just a Paladin or whatever? We'll have to wait and see.

they already said one of the biomes is ground zero areas where the bombs fell, so you have to wear radioactive protection in said areas.
That is actually sick
