The annoying thing about sites like Vice, HuffPost, Buzzfeed etc, is that if you're a leftie, they're not really on your side, they're just pretending they are. The only way they get money is by getting clicks, and the best way to get clicks is by appealing to the already converted, and enraging the people who disagree with you. I mean for this article I reckon Vice were banking on getting many, many more clicks from people outraged than by people agreeing. I mean even him making this reaction video is good for them.

If Buzzfeed want to make an interesting and informative article about racial politics in America, I'm absolutely sure they could do so, but instead, they know they can get so much more ad revenue from a video with "Why all white men are thrash" as the title.

I'd have to see what these people were actually posting to decide, but the way the VICE article presents it, Twitter's definitely being overzealous here. Not molesting children and leading by example to promote other pedos not molesting children is undeniably a good thing, and if Twitter's just sweeping it under the rug because it's a gross and uncomfortable thing to talk about, that's pretty shitty.
