The game as bad as Joe makes out bad (But yeah it's still pretty shit). Angry Joe just has no patience, it literally takes 10 minutes to learn how to time your attacks.
Yeah the enemies might need work and are unfair, but Joe's criticism is also unfair. He just sucked ass at the game and didn't bother learning the fighting techniques.

Seriously, the female model they used in Risen 1 was so shitty. At least in 2 they realized that breasts don't start from the neck.

Gothic 3, with all the patches, is a pretty decent game. The very first combat sequence when you liberate a town, and sad music is playing after the fight with persistent corpses everywhere as you run around looting them will hook you. And the combat is way better

Risen, all 3 of them, have not improved at all over Gothic 3, I would even say Visually it's very similar. I don't know what their problem is
Gothic 3 combat, while still not too good, was much better than that of Risen3. Combat in R3 is just awful and I wonder how they thought it was good enough to pass playtesting.
I really liked Risen 1 and 2, but couldn't stand an hour of 3
I can't believe how much they've fucked this up. I feel stupid just by playing it, the voice acting is embarassing and everything sucks.
Feels like an even shittier remake of Risen 2 (which actually wasn't all that bad).

The fail is of epic proportions in this one. Just listen to the voice acting - how the hell did they get away with it?
