You know, I agree with most of the people in here, like BmB and thisispain. If I were a parent, I would hate myself if my children were afraid of me. When I get kids someday, I want to punish them psychologically, like saying "No games or candy/whatever for a day" and stuff like that. In my opinion, the only people who beat their kids and uses other means of physical punishment, are people who lack the mental capacity to be reasonable and actually make him feel bad, instead of going 1900's style and be violent. This isn't 50 years ago, christ, people should be more civilized than to hit on their kids.
