I'm afraid that it's not going to die out for a long time. Take the Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers/Rangephiles fandom for example, they were pretty much the proto-bronies of the 90's and took about a decade to finally wither away into a small group of creepy dudes. Considering how Bronies have left a larger and much more horrible shitstain on the internet than the rangerphiles have, they could last even longer than that :suicide:
[t]http://englishrussia.com/images/gadget_fan_club_from_russia/18.jpg[/t] There's a religion in Russia that worships Gadget Hackwrench.
“She is the divine being, the most untouched and perfect sibling of the great God on Earth”, say one of the participants. “Why I love her? It’s stupid question, how I can’t love the Godess?”. “She is strict, cute, optimistic and her level of technical knowledge is unachievable for a mortal being.” those are just a few of the testimonies of the sect followers.
I love it how he's discussing it like it's a serious matter. Yep, perfectly normal thing to do.
muh cartoon horses no pls fix dis
Where's Daijustu when you need him?
I write FANFICTION for MLP
Is it sexy fan fiction? Because nothing turns me on more than cartoon ponies used to sell toys to little girls fucking each other
It's pretty clear that the majority of the fanbase are anti-social, lonely, often borderline, if not totally autistic. They watch the show because they have very little in their life to value, most likely can't get a job, a girlfriend, can't afford a pet, etc. so they decide to do something else, I get that. But a TV show for little girls? Think about that, imagine having a sister at 3 years old watching an episode with a 20 year old man both enjoying it equally (possibly the guy enjoying it more)
That argument/joke doesn't really work, videogames are marketed for people like you and me, whereas bronies are the complete opposite of the target audience of the show
Geek culture has always been bashed. I remember that the "introverted gaming loser" was one of the prevalent stereotypes of the 80s/90s, it later transitioned to furries, and currently bronies.
If you want adult-oriented MLP shit, then fucking go to Hot Topic!
[thumb]http://img.hottopic.com/is/image/HotTopic/343437_hi?wid=1360[/thumb] Oh man, I can't wait to wear this to the gym and get the shit kicked out of me.

There's the stereotype, and then there's what's true no matter what If you say Dota players have to be pretty patient in a way, yeah, that's true, because it's a fact that most Dota games last around 40-50 minutes. But if you say ALL dota players have an iron will and are the most patient people in the world, that's just stereotyping (positively but still). And if you say all bronies are fedora wearing austists, you're stereotyping, but if you say they watch a show for little girls, that's a fact. How weird that is is up to you. My point is, geek culture is bashed because of the sterotype, and ever since it became more mainstream, it's never been bashed as much. MLP however is hated on because of the show itself; the stereotypes aren't the source of the hate, just more ways to add to it
Could you be more of a condescending asshole?
I suppose it could come across as condescending, but it's simply true, every single brony I've ever met/known of/seen fits that criteria
Those are all completely different things though. There's the stereotype, and then there's what's true no matter what
My stereotypes are different!
MLP however is hated on because of the show itself; the stereotypes aren't the source of the hate, just more ways to add to it
What exactly is it about the show that makes it so terrible, in your opinion? When you're arguing that something is objectively bad, it helps when you actually present arguments. When you go 'hurr durr lil' girl show', you just make it apparent that you have no fucking idea what you're talking about.
Most of us are talking about the fans that take it way too far. There's no need to get defensive if you simply like the show, because we're not talking about you.
My stereotypes are different!
Did you even read the rest of my post
What exactly is it about the show that makes it so terrible, in your opinion? I dislike bronies personally but I don't hate the show itself, its just like any other cartoon [editline]4th October 2013[/editline] Like, I literally said "it's hated" and not "I hate it"
