I have already addressed this on the first page, this is still a theory. Please stop wasting your time and read the thread before you post again.
You are fucking stupid. In science, a theory is literally the highest status an idea can get. Although the Big Bang isn't really a theory, but a hypothesis based on the fact that we know the universe is expanding, and has been for billions of years. (But the fact that you view the Big Bang as an explosion is enough to realize that you have no idea what the hell you're talking about.)
it has the same message as this song...
I found this in related, figured it would be relative to the subject. Here is some last words of famous atheist's. It is kind of ironic that some pray for help.
There grieving over them self, bargaining is completely understandable, also praying is synonymous with hoping, its engraved into society, I still say "god damn it" but that doesn't mean I believe in god. If the purpose of the video was to throw in an argument against atheism then it's rather very selective.
this is the way i think about it: we only live roughly hundred years in this life. god either offers us eternal happiness or eternal damnation, i don't see how you can sentence a human being to an infinite period of time (to either place), based on a hundred years i am a good person, and i truly know that, yet i will be sent to eternal damnation simply because i do not believe in the lord? what of the people in african tribes who are good people as well, but worship false idols? will they be sent to hell? if so, god plays cruel jokes on us. god knows everything, so he would know that placing a human being in rural botswana would have a higher chance of not finding christianity than someone placed in the bible belt in america. so that means he would know that that person is definitely going to hell. for how is one supposed to "find the lord" in such a situation? what of the millions of people who existed 100,000s of years before the emerging of christianity? are they all damned to hell? if that is the case, doesn't that mean that god deliberately sent them to hell? wouldn't that make him malevolent? sorry if it's a bit steam of conscious

Ah, the sweet taste of victory. I wouldn't unleash the beast normally but when someone whips out the "IT'S JUST A THEORY YR Y" thing I cut the chain of badassery.
Yea and apparently gravity is still a theory. And according to you a law and a theory are the same. Yea you really defeated me, good job. Now you can leave the thread.
hey numbnuts gravity is a law and a theory. the laws are what gravity does. the theories are what phenomena may be causing gravity. a theory is something which has been shaped by rigorous testing, examination, experiment and analyzed and must be falsifiable. another thing which happens to be a theory and a fact is evolution. every bit of evidence on the planet points to it and it's happening around us right now as we speak. that part is the fact. the mechanisms of evolution such as natural selection, gene drift, mutations and speciation etc. are the theories. people like you are why I'm ashamed to call myself a christian sometimes.
i will NOT accept prevailing theories
you too seriously i think it would be best if science adopted a different word for Theories because it confuses people who are immensely naive like the people above ^^^ [editline]12:24AM[/editline]
this is the way i think about it: we only live roughly hundred years in this life. god either offers us eternal happiness or eternal damnation, i don't see how you can sentence a human being to an infinite period of time (to either place), based on a hundred years i am a good person, and i truly know that, yet i will be sent to eternal damnation simply because i do not believe in the lord? what of the people in african tribes who are good people as well, but worship false idols? will they be sent to hell? if so, god plays cruel jokes on us. god knows everything, so he would know that placing a human being in rural botswana would have a higher chance of not finding christianity than someone placed in the bible belt in america. so that means he would know that that person is definitely going to hell. for how is one supposed to "find the lord" in such a situation? what of the millions of people who existed 100,000s of years before the emerging of christianity? are they all damned to hell? if that is the case, doesn't that mean that god deliberately sent them to hell? wouldn't that make him malevolent? sorry if it's a bit steam of conscious
I've thought this thought many times and it's perplexed me
Not to offend or anything but, I thought it was going to be that scene from Citizen Kane.
I "believe" in the big bang theory because scientists are finding more and more proof of it, unlike of god being real (wasn't the Higgs Boson discovered recently?) Also, I've yet to meet any creationist explain why I have to get an updated flu shot every year. I hate to see so many people disillusioned, but whatever floats your boat if you're going to fight so strongly about it. Doesn't make a difference to me what people think happens to them after they die, as long as it doesn't cause harm to them while they're living.
I understand atheist's I do not hate them nor entirely disagree with them because it is within the human nature to not believe until cold hard evidence is presented before their eyes. Answer this question for me though, why would God let someone into "Heaven" if he knew that person denied he even existed for an entire lifetime?
Why would a god that chooses to punish you just because you didn't feed his ego be worthy of my worship? Something that big of a prick would be lesser than me and why would I worship something lesser than myself?
It is not sad, I am sure he would rather leave this planet with the thoughts of him going to a better place rather than crossing over into a dark abyss were all he will find is emptiness.
I wouldn't describe it as a dark abyss of emptiness, more like eternal nothingness of nothingness. You and I have been dead for 13 billion years before living, I can't speak for my future scared self, but I don't see a problem with returning to that state.

Infinitely longer than that, to be precise. And after we die, we'll remain dead for another infinitely long time. Wait, this means we're technically never alive :ohdear: Well, time to get looting then
Goddamned...
People are still attacking me over this theory bullshit claiming I do not believe in evolution or the Big Bang actually occuring. If you morons would read much closer I never said that, not once. So you are wasting your fucking time even addressing me about shit I already know.
There this video with the scene of earth with an man stating that life sucks, it doesn't have a point, everything you do is worthless in the end you just die. But at the end he starts talking that's exactly the reason why you need cherish it. Can anyone remember that video cause I'd love to see it again.

I never said I did not believe in evolution neither. I am not sure what point you are trying to make to me but you failed miserably.
This is the last time... The final and last time I will tell you pack of idiots these words... Quit posting religion related material on this sub-forum, nobody cares that you are afraid to die. Also for the man in this video, what makes your religion right and others wrong? I don't care that you died, it's not a big deal, it's not something new.
It's just funny to watch religious people and atheists fight. "I love my god!" "GOD IS NOT REAL!!!!!!!!11111!111!" "I am an atheist." "YOU ARE GOING TO HELL!!!!111!!111!1" Both sides are always hypocritical that the other side bashes them too much.
Someone else delivering a message about the second coming. Just because he's on his deathbed it doesn't mean anything more than the thousands that prophecize this event every year. It's his last minutes on Earth before he become worm food, and he wants to be remembered through something powerful: a normal human reaction. It's always sad when someone dies, but to put a video on the internet of a guy delivering a message like this during his final moments I find a little bit sick.
Do you have proof? Show me proof that there is this 'god'. How can you go about believing on something which you have no proof of?
Show me proof that there isn't. :smug:
