Well its been soon almost 2 days and i still have this effect. My eyes have also been hurting since i watched this video. Damn
I've done this for 15 minutes now and it isn't working.. I think I'm broken.
24 hours and the effect is starting to wear off, the green is a faint yellow and the red is less obvious.
Sucks I cannot get this to work and I have tried multiple times. Maybe if I do it when I am tired it might work.
I have been altered.
I´m seriously scared to try this. Seriously fuck you guys, I got to work all week, and I´m not sure I´d be too happy with fucking impaired vision. I´ve already got tinnitus which is enough of a handicap and mental burden as it is.
oh my god i watched this twice and my penis got bigger
People need to calm down, the effect only becomes visible with very specific black and white stripes, it's not like it impairs normal vision.

Maybe I'm just more susceptible to the effect
This image almost looks animated to me, especially when it's made smaller. It seems to be flashing a little bit or something
that's the micro saccades of your eyes doing that. even if you stare at a particular spot your eyes still wander and twitch. I dont notice any much difference except for that image of the pattern having changed colour.
youtube needs a "McCollough Effect for 10 hours"
Oh wow, I just came back to check after having watched the video yesterday. I still faintly see the colours.
Wow, damn. it's been 2 days now and i still have the effect. Just very faint though, but im still sure i still have the effect. From just 3 minutes of induction! Probably going to try 10 minutes next time
I thought the opposite of red was cyan, at least' that's the afterimage I see by looking at pure red.
Welp, my head is killing me now.
Fuck you. You can't tell my eyes what to do.
My scrollbar and laptop have a light red tint now. Trippy.
To see if you're still affected by it, look at this image: [sp]If you turn your head sideways, the colours will flip![/sp] If it is black and white, it hasn't worked. Bear in mind there is no way to get rid of the effect! It will go away by itself after some time.
I havent watched either of the videos yet, but its black and green with my glasses off (and it flips which ones are which when I turn my head). When I take my glasses off its black and white. I'll watch the video and see if it changes anything. [editline]9th September 2014[/editline] No effect outside of the image. When I take my glasses off, I see what I saw before with my glasses on. Now with my glasses on the effect works super hard, but only on the image.
Been about 2 days, still red and green-ish. Looks like it's fading, though.
The only place I notice this outside the test image is on bar codes.
Woah woah think about the implications of this. Imagine retail workers getting trained to spot barcodes or some other far-fetched fantastical things like a pilot's brain that automatically highlights other aircraft.
It works but the effect is very faint, as if I was seeing neon light reflecting off a wall. Very, very neat.
It has been around 2 weeks, I can still slightly see the green.
did it before i went to sleep, can still the green/red sort of. it's fading.
I watched this when it was first posted, for half the duration of the video. A week later, the picture in the OP still is green and red. Fuckin' nuts.
Its definitely faded for me in the past couple of hours. When I finished the video I noticed my scroll bar was a tinge of red and its fine now. The image in OP still has a shade of color to it though.
Cool, I didn't know of this before. Pretty creepy too, I saved the image on the desktop to see when it'll disappear from my brain. The video though, I watched it when I just woke up. While I was watching it, I kept having this feeling that a screamer would be popping up any moment.
haha you fucks are gonna probably gonna be seeing that red and green for the rest of your lives courtesy of me
It's actually pretty nice, now I easily distinguish vertical and horizontal lines through color. It's a super power I always wanted.
Watched 5 times, seen only a very slight tint. Focused very strongly.
