Mostly just because he often has a semi skewed perspective on what makes a game good or bad overall and then passes this opinion off in an "I'm right you are wrong and it will always be that way" style that a lot of people find arrogant. I.E. most notoriously tends to worship options menus in PC games and freaks out if there isn't an FoV setting. Granted no FoV setting is an issue with some people but personally for me I've never really had an issue with it (worst case scenario just sit back some). That's just an example though, there have been other times where I've seen him completely dismiss a game due to some specific mechanic/feature that is very minor (but I personally really enjoyed) and then claim the game is terrible as an objective truth. That said he does make good videos though and I do like his opinions on things when he's not getting caught up by little details a game has that he doesn't favor. Its just a mixed bag - some of his reviews are terrible because of the above, others are great because he shows actual "the devs fucked up" stuff, and when he likes a game he does a great job of showing you why its good.
No he doesn't. My Tutor actually worked for Eutechnyx a while back, infact he actually worked on Ride to hell. The game he describes he worked on has barely any resemblance to the release, like at all. Also I don't know how a company that works pretty much only on racing games manages to get a license to something like this, unless they actually were hoping for Marine Kart 40,000.
There was this one time where he flipped on a fan and although he apologized afterward people took it for granted that he was an asshole all the time to everyone because of it.
Not a fan, a dick commenting.

Do GW not understand that pretty much all their audience are the gamer-type, which would be unappreciative of something like this?
games workshop are a terrible company but they get away with it because they created something that you can't really get anywhere else - this rich world and lore that nerds love it's pretty interesting that the biggest fans of their products are also the people who hate the company the most
It's funny how there's literally a rap diss esque war going on between their book departments and their tabletop codex departments.
That kinda baffles me though. Do GW not understand that pretty much all their audience are the gamer-type, which would be unappreciative of something like this?
Considering it's Games Workshop, they probably don't care.
I'm worried for that UE4 space hulk FPS. I really want it to be good but given whats currently going on with 40k it wouldn't surprise me if its nothing like the first two FPS/RTS hybrids and instead just a generic scripted FPS, but with terminators and genestealers.
I love this, if you look at most sci-fi shooters in the 15 or so years, you see influences from Warhammer, something like Gears of War, which is a third person shooter, then you look at what this game clones, plants vs zombies, which now has a 3rd person shooter.
We just need DoW3. Get together, fund THQ and bring in some of the best devs of our age and make DoW3 and everything will be okay.
I want to play squig farmer 40,000.
I can't wait for Squig farmer deluxe.
I'm getting the impression that this video is more purely for the WH40K fans because I watched for about 5 minutes and didn't understand half the things he was talking about.
He's just going over a history of WH40k games, how hard is that to understand? Also a WH40k cart racer would probably make a better game than this.
Also a WH40k cart racer would probably make a better game than this.
Fucking hate how the AI always gets an exterminatus as soon as I get into first place.
Fucking hate how the AI always gets an exterminatus as soon as I get into first place.
It's all fun and games until you're on the receiving end of Exterminatus.
Fucking hate how the AI always gets an exterminatus as soon as I get into first place.
The singleplayer is broken, the red Ork AI goes faster than you ever can!

I don't even like W4K and I'm annoyed that this even exists.
The game looks fun

And I most certainly wish that everyone in GW burns alive in a heretical fire for what they've done to it over said years.
I know nothing of WH40K and even I can tell this game is heresy.
Games Workshop sounds like the table top equivalent of EA
Games Workshop sounds like the table top equivalent of EA
Which shows that corporate corruption and greed is not unique to any industry.
I remember someone dug up some really early press release stuff about that game, wasn't it at first supposed to be open world?
From how he described it, I'm guessing it was supposed to be a GTA sandbox type of game. Day/night systems, Different drivable vehicles and a lot of customisation. I don't actually think he knows about its released state.
I want to play squig farmer 40,000.
I for one would like to see that Dark Mechanicus-themed Bejeweled clone
This is worst than Boreales Voice Acting in Soulstorm but atleast that was so bad it was hilarious, this is just really bad.
Also a WH40k cart racer would probably make a better game than this.
An ork themed Twisted Metal-style racing shooter would be badass.
