This thread certainly went in a direction
It went down south to the boneyard.
it appears to be another cave path, entering the area. So, she saw the guy fall to his death (ouch), but not that the other one technically pushed him in.
As for the theory that the dog is a 'mind controller' or that the one guy just murders him in cold blood, let's go back over this real quick
dude who pushed starts turning green on his left side. dog isn't doing anything at that point, he's just a silhouette in the background. Dude pushes. You have a face shot of the guy at that point, the posessed side grins, his remaining side is terrified. dog goes berserk but recognizes what happened, and tore off the possessed arm.
Seeing that video made the dog realize who the skeleton is, and I guess he's mad that the skeleton is mad for the wrong reasons. does the berserk look but doesn't actually do anything after that. everybody leaves with zero closure and I'm kind of mad, despite the story being rather well written beyond that kind of missed end
also the dog not seeing himself in the mirror is kind of moot, given the other mirrors also did weird things. No eyes, no arm

Mentioned it earlier but.

Him not having a reflection is kind of a thing.
Welp it took only 3 days but someone's gone and made rule34 thats on par with the original in terms of quality.
Thats gotta be a record or something
Maybe he's one of those adorwable demon dogs she kept because it was soooooo cyooot.

Pretty sure 3 days is considered slow, actually :v:

Fast is usually within the day, like 5N@F if I recall correctly.
So why doesn't she have eyes in her mirror reflection?
the ghost took her eyes and those are robot eyes
[editline]30th October 2014[/editline]
maybe she's blind and thats why she didnt see lewis die?
wait no thats dumb
God I was waiting for that hallway doors scene as soon as I picked up the Scooby-Doo theme. Was not disappointed
As for the video, the character designs here were probably my favorite. They're so hnnnng tier, just perfect, I'd love to see these guys in more music vids. I'd prefer it actually if they moved onto other 80s-esque Hanna Barbera cartoon themes since there's only so much you can do with a Scooby Doo parody
In regards to people curious about continuation.
[7:51:49 PM] Ben: I MAY play around with stuff but I don't plan on anything major anytime soon
Also there's a blog dedicated entirely to fan art and it's fucking 34 pages long, 90% of it being Lewis of course.
[7:53:19 PM] Ben: They have declared a fandom is now a thing, yes
Sheesh only 3 days and it already has a fandom.
[editline]29th October 2014[/editline]
The YT vid has 190k views and the tumblr post has almost 30k notes. Needless to say Ben was extremely overwhelmed when this happened.
Your friend is awesome and I hope he and his characters go far.
[editline]29th October 2014[/editline]
Hell maybe even a "virtual band" like Gorillaz.
I think Lewis is easy to relate to and that's why he's so popular.
Yeah, always gets me down when a nine-tailed fox taking the form of a dog possesses my friend and makes him push me off a cliff and impale me on spikes.
So why doesn't she have eyes in her mirror reflection?
She didn't see what really happened in the cave.
Hey Tsyolin, does you friend have anything I could follow?
Hey Tsyolin, does you friend have anything I could follow?
He has a tumblr.
Other than that and his YouTube, he doesn't do anything else.

Also just be aware that this wasn't a one man effort. Sure Ben directed, produced, and did a lot of the work but this was definitely a team effort.
Ben: Isaiah did a lot of the clean up work of the more complex animations (run cycles and stuff), where as I went in and cleaned it up and animated it further. Kressent did the bulk of the Background art. Blake only had the chance to animate the painting ghosts part. James did some of the BGs, Jourdan did the car. Patrick did most of the more elaborate effects. Everything else (Directing, prework, character design, animatic stuff, animation, some basic effects) was on my end.
Be sure to give props to the rest of his team as well, links to their pages are all in the video description.
After like 2 days this has more views than the official video got in 8 months. Damn.
I will, I already followed Ben's tumblr.
After like 2 days this has more views than the official video got in 8 months. Damn.
Which sucks because...
Well to be honest the fucking priest looks and acts like me. Right down to the super curly dirty blonde hair.
The live action video is really good and is funny as hell, but it's not nearly as memorable or original as the animated one, so that probably is a big reason why it hasn't gotten as much popularity.

Plus I don't appreciate the screamer at the end :v:
That too
fucking hate screamers even if it's funny
I think it wouldn't have been as weird if the head had a nodding motion at least, but it is just like some sort of a up-down, stretching, morphing motion. It is irritating to look at for me.
Bobbing in rhythm is apparently a hallmark of almost all his videos, since he sets them to music. Not that many people here would want to watch them given their content, I'm assuming.
