The Tin foil-pan hack is a really bad idea if it's a teflon coated pan. The metal will scratch the teflon.

Hobo-cleaning the frying pan is really useful to me. Good stuff.
What happened with the third video? The tips were shitty and they were not even trying to be serious.
Non-stick pots and pans have a layer of non-stick coating along the inside of the pan. So scrubbing bits of food off with crunched up aluminum foil is a sure way to ruin the coating and the pan would then cease to be "non-stick". It's not advised to use any metal utensils in non-stick pots and pans.
Parents have a set of pans that not only came with metal cookware, but was advertised to be "impregnated" with teflon, instead of layered. You could take a knife to that stuff and you wouldn't be able to damage the nonstick layer. Been using it for over a decade and they're just as usable as when we first got them.
Water, despite being so common, is a bizarre substance. It behaves in ways that science can't even explain sometimes. For instance, consider that icebergs can float on the ocean, despite them both being mainly water.
density is a marvelous thing
