Guys, that was Michael Eisner, the guy has been fired a long time ago. Cars 2 was made because a certain dude named John Lasseter likes the franchise, no matter what the critics say. And also because it made a lot of money.
These days, the owner of Pixar, a man by the name of [B]STEVE FUCKING JOBS[/B] is the biggest Disney shareholder. Lasseter is the fucking Chief Creative Officer of Disney. Disney, not Pixar. Disney didn't tell Pixar to do Cars 2.

John Lasseter was the head of Pixar before Disney bought out Pixar and made him CHief Creative Officer at Disney.
Pixar hasn't made a single bad movie of their own, save for Cars, which was just underwhelming, but not terrible. Cars 2 was meant to appease Disney
