I'm still feeling kind wary about ME3 considering how Bioware's been with games lately. I'm probably gonna wait to pre-order this one, I really would like to avoid making the same mistake as I did with Dragon Age 2.

yeah but nowadays there are usually enough physical copies to go around. The only recent games that I know where preordering was actually useful were Skyrim and MW3. And you're also on a forum where most people either pirate or buy the games from a digital distributer so preordering doesn't really matter.
I'm a sucker for physical art books and soundtracks so I preordered. Hell, for the amount of physical and ingame stuff you get the extra $20s is worth it. Then again I don't count out a developer for one mediocre game (DA2. Haven't looked into ToR so I can't say anything about that) so I still don't mind Bioware.

The bonuses can be a bit nice but I generally pre-order games to ensure i get collector's editions or just to make sure I get a copy when it comes out.

This, I always found the reason for preordering of 'lol, so I get a copy' to be incredibly bullshit, either's their's always copies of the game at stores that you can buy, or you can download it digitally on your PC.
