drones can invade people's privacy without being noticed.
They can also make cool and really interesting shit like the video we all just watched that wouldnt be possible without an unmanned flying machine. Drones are gonna cause a lot of issues in the very near future but also have a bunch of good to come with them.
STALKER 2 is looking great so far!
This just cements for me the fact that if you are a videographer you MUST at some point get a camera mounted to a quadrocopter because the shots will be unlike anything you could imagine. Too bad it's so expensive right now and by the time it does become feasable it will be too heavily regulated.
$1000 isn't that expensive.
On 00:58, the huge sign on the building reads "Let the atom be a worker, not a soldier"
That's so poetic.
oh man they missed the opportunity to use this as the song. way better
It is. The trees absorbed so much radiation that they turned red and died, iirc.
Apparently decomposition is also extremely slow or nonexistent because the bacteria and fungi that would normally break down leaf litter are all dead.
Apparently decomposition is also extremely slow or nonexistent because the bacteria and fungi that would normally break down leaf litter are all dead.
And while it's the most contaminated area in the world and 100% uninhabitable for humans, it's actually become a bit of a wildlife reserve. I remember hearing about a surge in boar and badger population and several endangered species live there and birds live in holes in the trees.
cheeki breeki
Shouldhave had the original audio, not music.
Shouldhave had the original audio, not music.
WHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Why? It's full of radiation and expensive. I know it's cool but there surely are better places to go to for the same price.
Pripyat is a really unique city. It's hard to say there are "better" places to go, because this one is unlike any other.
Were all of those shots made using a drone? Because it didn't appear so. A few still shots at least. Slightly misleading title if that's the case.
It is. The trees absorbed so much radiation that they turned red and died, iirc.
That's a pretty interesting fact, I didn't even know about the red forest.

I never realized how well Dayz captures Cherno. At the start of this movie I was half expecting it to be a DayZ thing. It looks like it's straight out of the game, but the crazy thing is; the game map is designed straight out of real life.

Not to mention DayZ just uses a slightly modified version of the original Chernarus map for ArmA 2, which is based off some land in the Czech Republic. The only game I'd really give credit to recreating Pripyat somewhat accurately would be CoD4.
They aren't fucking drones.
drones can invade people's privacy without being noticed.
Only the creepy drones that were raised wrongly. Most drones are well adjusted into human society and drone/human relations are at an all time high.
They aren't fucking drones.
Automobiles are Cars. Aerodynes are planes. Computational machines are computers. Programs are Apps. Self-portraits are selfies and RC planes with cameras on them are drones. Language evolves rapidly. I don't like it any more than you do, but you have to grow up and, like the rest of us, fucking accept it.
That's a pretty interesting fact, I didn't even know about the red forest.
It's kind of both horrifying and awe-inspiring to look at. [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/XCXI8SL.jpg[/IMG_thumb] And over the years it's faded and some green has cropped up but it's still mostly stark red and will be that way for many, many years.
fuck off.
obviously i need to clarify. the person a couple posts above me said drones will be regulated in the future someone asked why and i proposed a reason.
