Yeah this is what I remember too, how the GlaDOS voice didn't fit.
Sounds to me they made it fit really damn well in this new trailer, didn't even realize it was GlaDOS up until she said "engage".

The only thing about it that reminded me of evangelion was a scene with the mech standing in a hangar that looked kind of similar to the one out of evangelion.
Then again, there was a freight elevator in half-life nearly identical to the one in the Akira manga.
