Twisted Metal. Possibly one of the best video game promotions ever!

The demo no longer works, guess the beta came to an end although I don't know why.

2 was a lot worse at points IMO.

shit throwback to the shit early to mid-90s western "badass" video games. a time i'd rather forget because they all sucked
I thought Manhunt was the most sick and depraved game.
Yea but more of a blood and gore kind of way while twisted metal was more sick and twisted. I remember Jaffe being mad that they wouldn't let him put in a part where a baby gets drown to death in black.

Go back to your COD and get out of here.

Woah, we better tie you to the ground. You're jumping to some crazy conclusions.
Doesn't like 90's video games? Obviously a COD fanboy.
Fun fact! People that disagree with you aren't always COD fanboys! I know it's crazy, right!?
It seems Jaffe has some really good ideas up in his head. Probably some real messed up ones too. But we will probably never see them cause it will make the publishers just go :"woah, no way are we getting behind that". He would probably make a good author if he wasn't in video game business.
Noooooooooo I love that Truck. :(

I was being an exaggeration. Though it would be hard to actually find a gamer who didn't like the videogame renaissance that was the 90s vs the less original industry of today.
I was being an exaggeration.
Well what was the fucking point? Look like a socially awkward video game hipster with too much angst?
I was being an exaggeration. Though it would be hard to actually find a gamer who didn't like the videogame renaissance that was the 90s.
calling early to mid 90s western video games a "renaissance" is an insult to the renaissance

Then maybe you shouldn't call it shit. Its like me going into a call of duty thread and making a post about the whole game is shit and wonder people are angry at me.
I was being an exaggeration
i have no idea what point you're making. doesn't like western 90s video games = loves CoD
that makes no sense at all. CoD is at the head of western contemporary gaming. if anything you should have said "go back to final fantasy you faggot" or something like that
Then maybe you shouldn't call it shit. Its like me going into a call of duty thread and making a post about the whole game is shit and wonder people are angry at me.
i'm not wondering why people are angry at me
Well what was the fucking point? Look like a socially awkward video game hipster with too much angst?
Or maybe a hey don't go into a thread about a videogame and call it shit.
i have no idea what point you're making. doesn't like western 90s video games = loves CoD
Get the part where I said exaggeration?
video games have always been kinda awful, at least with things like this it's fun for nostalgic reasons
Get the part where I said exaggeration?
no. you didn't exaggerate anything you just made a nonsensical point
video games have always been kinda awful
what?
no. you didn't exaggerate anything you just made a nonsensical point
Except that you shouldn't call a game shit in a thread about it.
calling early to mid 90s western video games a "renaissance" is an insult to the renaissance
It sort of was. If you look at the videogame market before the 90s it was filled with a lot of bad ideas, most companies thought that you could just make a console and make games without any real thought into it and make money. Videogames started actually becoming a solid medium in the early 90s, even saga before the 90s did it with their consoles by putting in a new console/Extra hardware every couple of years. Start looking into the history of videogames and you will see what I mean.
Except that you shouldn't call a game shit in a thread about it.
not sure how this debunks my theory that your post made no sense

i study it as a module at university but cheers for the tip

i totally understand the point actually and it's a good one. i just see so little artistic value in a lot of the early western 90s games, what with most of them being so immature, that i feel the term "renaissance" draws up the wrong connotations
video games are not art rofl
video games are not art rofl
i doubt you even know what art is beyond a fucking painting hanging on a wall
video games are not art rofl
According the the U.S. government they are.
A guy is comparing it to MW3 since its in the desert...
internet...why?
video games are not art rofl
rofl ya they r
video games are not art rofl
guys hes just being those trolls that type the same dont use punctuation including commas use lowercase letters and end everything with lol or rofl assuming it makes them seem smarter or right
This game is the whole reason im going to get a PS3
I've never really seen the appeal of these kind of games, but Call of Duty sucks and I have no idea why it was brought into the argument.
