Seriously though, am I the only one getting these weird lighting errors?
Perfectly fine here :V
They really need to improve the character movements.
I can only play for a few minutes before my screen blacks out. A restart of the game is the only fix I found. Also, I can't seem to change the building box texture back to wood after I changed it once. Still, this is fantastic for a free game in early build stages.
Seriously though, am I the only one getting these weird lighting errors?
I had those, I dropped the graphics quality from Fantastic to Beautiful and its fine now.
It would be nice if there would be a "flailing" animation instead of the running animation when you get thrown in the air.
why would this be free to play i'd gladly pay $60 for this especially if that means a better product
Well you could always donate!
Kinda reminded me of StarCraft
earth orbit? nope, not playing anymore
This is gold.
How graphic intensive is this? Like, will my semi-decent rig die if I play this?
You won't need an overclocked whatever the rigged PC to play this.
They need more server, I think the entire internet is trying to get this.
My computer runs crysis 2 better. optimization better be important to them *valve cough*
My computer runs crysis 2 better. optimization better be important to them *valve cough*
I honestly can't follow what you're trying to say.
I can tell they're going to fuck this up. What they should be doing is making something to compete with Garry's Mod (because Garry's Mod has next to no real competition), but they're talking about RPG elements and shit and that's really turning me off from it.
I honestly can't follow what you're trying to say.
Crysis 2 runs in a superior fashion on my desktop machine compared to this game. I do hope that the developers of Starforge think that optimization is important, and don't stave it off for later like Valve and Blizzard.

Here, anyone who's having trouble getting the game, have the torrent magnet link. Game doesn't even launch for me, just flat out black screens.
I can't get this to run It's just a blank screen and stops responding
Just wait a while, it should launch.
Turns out my laptop is too crappy to run it, 3 fps even on the "fastest" setting :(
So it's Minecraft building + Starcraft (it reminds me entirely of a cinematic from the game where the zerg over-run the terrans). I like it already.
I thought unity could run on phones, whats the deal with people getting poor fps.
Honestly, the first thing I thought of when I saw this was the old Fortwars gamemode from Gmod. But yeah, I'm still getting terrible fps and weird lighting on the lowest settings.
Minecraft, meet Crytek, Crytek, Meet originality..ish
Minecraft, meet Crytek, Crytek, Meet originality..ish
what does this have to do with crytek.
I wish my character wasn't constantly breaking his legs every time I want to walk 2 feet
I wish my character wasn't constantly breaking his legs every time I want to walk 2 feet
or had the ability to use stairs
what does this have to do with crytek.
It has nothing to do with Minecraft either, fanboy
It has nothing to do with Minecraft either, fanboy
Well to be fair, the guy did mention that inspiration for Fort Wars and the procedural terrain was garnered from Minecraft. I do agree, I like what they're doing. What worries me is the fact that their site is already pushing micro transaction points sales down our throat for new "Leaf Tilesets" when the game isn't even ready to play yet. They're charging money for cosmetic items that are basic enough to be included in the game before the game is even fully playable. Honestly that's worse than the whole "DLC on the disk" thing, and it's awful that a game like this will be ruined by greedy kids who think that just because their game got attention, they gotta squeeze money out of everyone. They want to be millionaires, and that means bad things for us.
