I disagree, buy it before the story is ruined for you. If you cant afford it watch that video someone made of it that basically makes it a movie.
Kind of surprising to see facepunch dislikes him now, last i remember his A:CM video was posted here and people seemed to enjoy it.
I think its because there's no bandwagon against him but there is one against A:CM (it's not the worst thing to happen to mankind, just a bit of a shit game), so the bandwagon obviously won out
If anything I enjoy someone posting a video like this. I imagine him being someone at work and he's talking to me about this new thing he got. The personality he has lends to the way he conveys his perspective on things. I enjoy this kind of review but also something more structured like Adam Sessler's reviews on Rev3.
Again it's not quite as structured as many reviews are but that's his thing. I don't look to him for my decision to buy a game or not, but I do enjoy them.
I think being too unstructured or too structured are both bad tbh, one can result in an overlong, unollowable mess like joe's reviews while the other would mean adhering so closely to a predefined structure that you might miss talking about certain aspects, like IGN's reviews. Both suffer from the curse of putting scores at the end of their reviews, which is utterly useless when applied to a subjective piece of art. A reviewer's job should be to tell you if they liked the game, roughly how much they liked the game and why, applying a score to something such as a game or a film is not only impossible, it also discourages people from reading the in depth review, which is ALWAYS more informative as to the game's quality.
