and is the title 'What Does 2013 Say?"
like a shitty pun attempt/reference to What Does the Fox Say?
that's really horrible
painful
wow is your post a shitty homage to actually good posts???
The thing I hate about these is that it's like 10% actual... trends and 90% who is already the top channels.

That's because youtube's algorithms are a positive feedback loop. Popular channels tend to get lots of retention, so they are endorsed, thus continuing to be popular and generating further retention.
Good thing i'm an inhuman monster then.
Games at their core is repetition in the hopes you get something different.
So nah, you're just insane.

Right, I'm fully aware. But this video is generally going to be about what was hot in the year. I don't like how it's usually just the top people we're always exposed to.
Clearly this is what the creators of the internet had in mind.
I fully believe this is the best use of our resources. Yep.
It was pretty cool, well put together.
Though it's kind of disappointing nobody remembered that Filthy Frank is responsible for that Harlem Shake fad

I think that's more of a good thing...

Wow thanks, that's a great argument. You're a real fucking barrel of sunshine.
Maybe you could not be a dick and tell me why you disagree instead of just being a complete ass about it.
I'm probably going to be the minority here, but I'm actually glad Youtube does these.
Its sort of "this was what was popular in year X". I'm sort of with BRT that I wish they would stop repeating certain people like Smosh when I can't think of a single noteworthy video they did this year though. But I do like these pop culture in a nutshell videos.
Then again that's probably because I have a certain fascination with "let's look at that year and see what shitty pop culture thing we liked!"

Argument 1) That whole post was moronic.
Argument 2) The post I quoted is also moronic.
Argument 3) Stop being a moron.

Once again, all you did was call me dumb.
Come on, is that the best you can do? No reasoning? It is people like you that drag this website down. "Hurr your post is shit" just isn't good enough and it doesn't solve shit, it just starts flamewars.
Stop being a cunt, and if you disagree then say why instead of just repeatedly calling me dumb.

I am not one of those people, but I can see where you get that impression, I just think Youtube is the waste of a good idea. The content was arguably never that good to begin with but it seems to have only gone downhill from there. It didn't help when Google brought all this unnecessary shit with copyright violations taking down good and honest videos, or changing the comment system and somehow making it worse.
It is a huge waste of potential for no good reason. Despite being a huge and horrible bunch of bullshit, KONY 2012 showed how easily one can use a service to move dozens of people (although its not like they did much beyond giving it a thumbs up and buying a 12 dollar pack of useless shit) and if actually set to a good purpose, this site could be great. As much as we all hate PewDiePie, his charity work was for a good cause and it showed how the "Youtube Celebrities" can actual be beneficial to our culture and community by doing good things.
It needs less of people getting worked up over fads that die out in a few weeks and more of a focus on impactful stuff, or at least using the fads and "celebrities" to make a difference in the world without asking much from the viewer. As it stands right now, that isn't going to happen, and probably never really will beyond a few acts of good will. The aforementioned KONY 2012 is still burned into the conscience of the community and they won't forget it, so people will be even more skeptical now than ever.
It's not really bad for me because I only know like half of the stuff shown. If I had to rate it I'd give it a 6/10 but on IGN standards I'd give a 8/10.
I'd rate it 3/10 but in ign standards that'd be 9.5/10

mainly hated it because there's a lot of bullshit this year
I stopped at harlem shake
they did have to go there, didn't they
I stopped at harlem shake

At least any Harlem Shake video will be less awkward that PewDiePie's Harlem Shake video. That was easily one of the worst things ever produced.

so basically you want youtube to only be used for charity-related videos and thats it
and what does kony 2012 have to do with this???????
you just sound like a pretentious hipster tbh right now
Youtube in general is awful, I don't know why anybody expected the rewind to not be cringey garbage
Youtubers with most subs + 1 hit wonder meme's = YT Rewind
Recognized everyone, really enjoyed it.
I was fine with everything about this video until Smosh did Breaking Bad underwear ass smacking stuff. Like seriously, don't do that. Now I'm gonna associate my favorite show with fucking Smosh? Holy shit, please just don't do that. GAH!
Why is MysteryGuitarMan featured all the time?
