Can someone explain to me what the Abe's Odysee series is? I remember a windows movie player visualization of abe (I think) dancing in his wheelchair, that's all I know about the series.
Oh my God yes, this was one of the first games I ever played. My little five year old brain could never get past the level after you get out of the factory though. Would be nice to play it as an adult and beat it 20 years later.

It's a brutally difficult 2D platformer from the PS1 era that's known for it's depressing setting, dark humor, and impressive gameplay. It was never the most polished of platformers but it definitely was one of the more complex and interesting ones, and it had this bizarre charm to it.
At least, that's how I remember it.
I didn't get into the Oddworld series until Munch's Oddysee, but god damn, did I love that game. This will be a great way to experience the "old" games.
Everyone always bigs up the Abe's games, I never got around to playing one, I always saw this one for the original xbox in a blockbuster, but never got around to getting it, I'm guessing I missed out?

Uh. This one wasn't for Xbox.

There was one with a similar title that I vaguely remember looking similar to this though, I've probably made an ass of my self by not researching my shit, right?
Abe was the first game I had on my PS1 back in the day.
I miss it now I've watched this.
Never played any of these games, but it looks really fun.

Probably saw Munch's Oddysee, which is typically considered the worst one (It wasn't "Deus Ex Invisible War" bad, but it just wasn't as good as any of the other ones). Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus were on PS1 and DOS (And Steam, as of a couple years ago), but they've still aged quite well (With the resolution of the graphics really being the only problem), so they're definitely worth trying out if you're into platformers at all.
I remember playing a demo of Abe's Odyssee on a PS1 demo disc. I think I still have the disc around here somewhere.
You know what, I love hd remakes.
I don't give a shit that I'm playing the same game, only prettier, I want to play my child-hood games with crap like phong shaders and shit.
Not to mention this extends the lifetime of said games greatly without having to resort to emulators and virtual machines.
For once, someone can actually make a sequel to something old without completely fucking it up with their 'new age' design bullshit.
never played this game but it seems fun
Oh my God yessssss.
still have my copy of abe's exodus laying around
i know what i must do

"Howdy."
"Hey there, Abe!"
