I feel like the people who are complaining are the same people that spend $0.99 for the bundles...

Hey that's what I do and I don't complain, CK alone is worth it.

Why the fuck would you only spend a buck for charity when you're getting something significant in return?
Less if you go for the default split

What a wonderful, charitable person you are.
Never heard of any of these comedians. I want games..
How can you be on the internet and never hear of Louis CK
Why the fuck would you only spend a buck for charity?
Not everyone has enough money to give. Right now my family is living from paycheck to paycheck. We'd rather have food than give to charity, so I give what I can when I can.
I'm sorry I'm defending myself, I guess?
the biggest case of gamer entitlement i've seen in ages
waaaah i want games
I'm glad they're branching out. More humble bundles!
I don't particularly care for the acts they have, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing, trying something new has never been bad.

You'd only give $0.20 to charity out of $1.00? You're not very charitable.

That's his example of the default split

then maybe you should spend some time getting more hours or a better paying job instead of spending time on the internet...

if you live paycheck to paycheck, i think your priority shouldn't be getting bundles of 1 dollar videogames, which in itself completely defeats the purpose of the humble bundle.

Says the man with almost two hundred games and recently bought Payday 2 for $30 (or $50 if he got the CCE).
meh, i fucking hate standup comedy, i really do
but well, its for charity...
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Humble Bundle.
Says the man with almost two hundred games and recently bought Payday 2 for $30 (or $50 if he got the CCE).
He's been on steam for four years, this thing called a "gift" exists, a bunch of the games he owns are from humble bundles, and when a person really wants something, they will save up for it.
Well games are certainly more appealing and worthwhile than comedy acts so it's understandable, but if people are complaining that they're being ripped off or something, they are missing the point. In all honesty though, it would have been a better move to stick with games since that's something that appeals to almost everyone.

I saying that's what you'd be giving them if you donated a dollar using the default split, not what I would donate.
At least read my point before you try and dispute it.
The topic of what is enough to give is enough of a acidic topic, I don't think we need people in here telling each other how much to give.
While I don't like the idea of people buying the bundle for a penny or a dollar or something, HB knows what they are getting themselves into.
It's one thing to not buy the bundle because you don't like it, it's another to literally bash the people behind it because it's simply not moar gaemz.

Exactly, they give you the option to give $1 which is at least something, you could be even more of a dick and get the bundles through other means without paying anything at all.

I've had that money put away since, like, June.
Geez, I didn't want this to be a thing. I just wanted to say that sometimes you don't have much money and you'd still like to give to charity. I'm sorry it's derailed this thread.
if you say you're buying humble bundle just to give to charity you're lying to yourself
Live at the Beacon is worth 5 bucks alone.
You people are really arguing about giving to charity?
Why not make some donations yourselves instead of bitching about it.
And I don't mean to some shitty site that sells you cheap content, go actually make a DONATION.
You know, where you give money to an organization and get a thank you in return...
wtf i paid $1 wheres my steam keys
Louis's is on netflix but
he's fucking amazing, in every way

but its

charity
if you say you're buying humble bundle just to give to charity you're lying to yourself
I'll admit I don't buy the bundles solely for charity. If I was going to I would just... well... Donate my money to charity.
But knowing its a charitable fund I always donate a respectable amount, never a dollar or some shit.
Share me some of your endless money, Mr Moneybags.
I spend more than a dollar on a charity drive...
So I'm rich...
Great train of thought
tig notaro holy shit she owns
Well, that's even worse then. Who the hell complains how much people spend on charity? Seriously, what was your thought process?
What's yours?
I never said there's a problem with donating what you can comfortably. My gripe is with people who donate a dollar to avoid having to spend any respectable amount of money on charity so they can get a bunch of stuff for cheap, or people who look at these bundles as solely a way to get games (and now comedy routines) cheap and completely ignore the charitable aspect of them.
If you can only afford to donate a little and you decide to, that's great. If you look at a humble bundle and go "holy shit I can get all these games for a penny" that's wrong. The point of these bundles is to raise money for Child's Play and when people use it as a cheap trick to get games for next to nothing the charity loses out.
