Should have put them in parallel. 10,400 farads at 2.5 volts, not much of a change in voltage, but you have a huge charge to use.
In my class a student blew up a 1micro farad capacitor and it made a small popping noise imagine with this.
For all the people going on about coil guns, I've looked into EDLCs as power supplies for capacitors but I'm told that pulse-discharges make them very unreliable, so they're not great for coil guns. It would be great if they were usable, but every source I've read has said it's a very poor idea. Also these aren't new, edlcs have been around for a long long time.
Avatar fits the thread
if you reverse current flow on that how good is the explosion?
if you reverse current flow on that how good is the explosion?
About as good as dividing by zero.
> get ultra capacitors > get 10 in series > put metal contacts into rubber gloves TESLA GLOVE
I actually had this idea once, except with tazor technology.
I have to do hours of this shit a day, why couldn't he just keep in the fun parts. [editline]30th March 2011[/editline] It's not dumb, I do a few hours of electrics a week and he seem to drone on a bit, why couldn't he just do the fun parts first then explanation etc. at the end.
