Should have put them in parallel. 10,400 farads at 2.5 volts, not much of a change in voltage, but you have a huge charge to use.
In my class a student blew up a 1micro farad capacitor and it made a small popping noise imagine with this.
For all the people going on about coil guns, I've looked into EDLCs as power supplies for capacitors but I'm told that pulse-discharges make them very unreliable, so they're not great for coil guns. It would be great if they were usable, but every source I've read has said it's a very poor idea.
Also these aren't new, edlcs have been around for a long long time.
if you reverse current flow on that how good is the explosion?

About as good as dividing by zero.

I actually had this idea once, except with tazor technology.
I have to do hours of this shit a day, why couldn't he just keep in the fun parts.

It's not dumb, I do a few hours of electrics a week and he seem to drone on a bit, why couldn't he just do the fun parts first then explanation etc. at the end.
