That Khe Sanh map looks awesome.
To be honest, they should've waited until they done more before making a trailer, it seem real bland. Could have made a short teaster update instead. I'm dying for a new Vietnam game so I hope they take the time they need in order to make it perfect.
This trailer looks really bad tbh.
Vietnam games are my jam and I'll probably buy this game, but that trailer was pretty underwhelming.
Did you boycott Valve after they added Mann-Conomy to TF2?
Sure, if TF2 was Early Access, and by a dev who has had a terrible track-record with their games as of late (KF2 is not in the state it was promised to be in, the entire Red Orchestra 2 launch fiasco and iirc it's STILL missing some promised things (more tanks)). Tripwire, as a publisher or developer, is not an entity I support. Valve at least has the courtesy of waiting until their games are out of "early access", or you know, at their full release before putting in their micros.
Alright so where's our NVA and where's our ARVN? Or is it just "MUHREENS" and "VEET KAWNG" like every other motherfucking Vietnam game out there. Hell, fucking Call of Duty had the NVA
Not giving tripwire any money after the early access microtransactions in killing floor 2. shame, I was kinda looking forward to this.
That's your reasoning? Not the fact that it usually takes them fucking forever to make the game even playable?
That's your reasoning? Not the fact that it usually takes them fucking forever to make the game even playable?
It's the final nail in the coffin for me.
This won't have any single player element, right?
This won't have any single player element, right?
Most certainly not.

It isn't the Tripwire team.
You do know this is the team who worked on the original Rising Storm who are developing this right? It isn't the Tripwire team.
Tripwire is still the publisher, and they'd still be getting money from my purchase.
This won't have any single player element, right?
Unless you want "clunky buggy shit botfest" like Red Orchestra 2's """"single player"""" then no [editline]6th March 2016[/editline]
You are asking for alternate skins basically.
No, I'm not. I'm asking for a game series that prides itself on realism and accuracy to be realistic and accurate with the time period.
I don't think they're trying to be as super authentic as possible. I mean RO2 got a MG42 added to it. But in Rising Storm they had a couple different outfits depending on the map, so who knows.
I think it can easily be explained as, higher veterancy and game time = more 'elite' clothing. Give's new players visual feeback on who they should be following around, and if your on the opposing team it's someone you should aim to kill first. In RO2 you kill the guys with the dirtiest / least standard uniform because you know they know what they're doing (in theory at least).
The Vietnam game market is already such a small audience. You are asking for alternate skins basically.
See, this is the issue. People think that the National Liberation Front/Viet Cong (a guerrilla fighting force) and the North Vietnamese Army (the ground military of communist North Vietnam) are interchangeable. Plus, the ARVN gets basically no representation in Vietnam War media. The only appearances I can think of off the top of my head is the mention in Full Metal Jacket ("Trade you some ARVN rifles, never fired, dropped once!") and the translator attached to the 1st Air Cavalry in We Were Soldiers.
It looked just like Red Orchestra 2 but in Vietnam, which is what we thought it would be, what pretty everyone wants it to be and what it most likely will be.
That's not what I meant. This video does not feel like Red Orchestra 2 at all, it's just a small footage of things that doesn't give you the "holy shit!/awesome".

I think a lot of people don't want to play as them though because they were generally shit.
Better Quality
They were in Battlefield: Vietnam. I think a lot of people don't want to play as them though because they were generally shit.
But they had the CAR 15! (IRC)
Respect to them for doing an FPS that isn't in a futuristic setting, but this looks terrible
looks good, it's alpha and i like what i see except the character models
Not giving tripwire any money after the early access microtransactions in killing floor 2. shame, I was kinda looking forward to this.
And you felt people needed to know this why?
They already confirmed that the NVA are going to be in the game, along with the Vietcong, US Marines, and US army. Please read up on the forums and the Steam page.
It's just that all the images they've shown is just Marines/Vietcong and the original reveal trailer used the Japanese models from Rising Storm for the Vietnamese lol
Probably still working on the models for U.S Army/NVA Give them time the game is still in development.
And you felt people needed to know this why?
What a dumb comment. Are people not allowed to express negative attitudes towards upcoming games, or do you also consider comments like "man, can't wait for this!" equally useless?
