I'm not entirely sure why people question if Nero has some ties to the family or not. He's basically Vergil-lite for all intents and purposes. There's a pretty obvious reason for that.

Probably because they're making DMC5. Between this, DmC Definitive Edition, and that DMC thing for Monster Hunter 4, it looks like they're trying to push Devil May Cry as hard as they can.
I've been a long time DMC fan and I feel like I'm the only one who enjoyed the remake. The combat was fun(although a bit easy on normal) and The game had a beautiful asthetic. I really liked the levels concepts and the boss were pretty unique. The only thing I didn't care for was the dialouge, that was horrible.
I really like the original DMCs and the remake, I thought it was fun and I actually found the dialogue pretty funny, just not in the same original DMC1-4 way of course.
