nope, it was 1-7. [t]http://i.imgur.com/lUNV89R.jpg[/t] (my lanyard from the showing). Episode 1 started at 3 AM, with 14-15 minute breaks inbetween each movie. After Episode III, there was an hour long break for Breakfast, and then we started back up with the Original Trilogy. After the OT was done, there was about 30 minutes until TFA - which started at 7 PM, though there were like 20 minutes of ads. And the 3D in TFA was actually really good, I was surprised. [editline]19th December 2015[/editline] and honestly all the cheering and stuff was great through the whole thing since everyone at that showing was a real fan, and it was just an awesome experience (I mean come on, when Ackbar yelled "IT'S A TRAP" during ROTJ everyone went wild and it was just a fun experience).
Were 4-6 the special editions?
Were 4-6 the special editions?
Yeah, the 2011 Special Editions. Surprisngly the only change that there was any sort of commotion over was Jedi Rocks, woth numerous boos heard.
Went to see it at the premier, was so much fun with the whole crowd getting involved. Not had so much fun at a film since going to see the two towers premier in leicester square! Frankly, everyone being a part of the film made the experience better.
The crowd at the theater I was at was only decently loud. Surprisingly, everyone laughed when [sp]one Storm Trooper was killed and uttered the Wilhelm scream. Didn't know it would be that recognizable.[/sp] :v:
While its nice, Id be annoyed if everyone was cheering and screaming. Like we get it, you love the movie, but some of us want to be immersed in the film.
You must be real fun at parties.
you're a killjoy if you spend money to see a movie and want to hear it instead of everyone around you
The comments are cancerous. Why do i keep reading the comments?
You must be real fun at parties.
Im paying to hear the movie, not everyone around me. Is it really that frowned upon for someone to want to enjoy the movie? Sheesh. :pudge:
From the title, I thought you meant they were watching The Force Awakens on repeat for 16 hours.
Apparently they viewed all of the six movies previously before finally finishing with VII, so.. yeah.
Imagine having to sit in a theater with a bunch of pasty smegmatic nerds that haven't showered in 16 hours.
tbh maybe It's a cultural thing but I've never been to a new movie and had anybody clap/scream/cheer, sometimes people laugh if it's funny but other than that [editline]21st December 2015[/editline] Had some dude at the force awakens start snoring after he was late for his date tho

But it wasn't anyone. It was literally the entire theater. People really like Star Wars.

People really like Star Wars.
People at my cinema cheered at the LucasFilms logo, then "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...", then the Star Wars Logo. This was all within 20 seconds. And it didn't stop there. Although it was premiere day at the largest IMAX in the world...
When [sp]C3PO pops up the first time, everyone in the cinema died laughing[/sp]
When [sp]C3PO pops up the first time, everyone in the cinema died laughing[/sp]
The [sp]BB-8 thumbs up killed everyone in my theater, including me, for a solid 10 seconds[/sp]
The only time I ever heard anyone cheer in a theater was when the Titans were mentioned at the end of Cast Away. It was a Nashville theater
While its nice, Id be annoyed if everyone was cheering and screaming. Like we get it, you love the movie, but some of us want to be immersed in the film.
its the opening credits
The only way to watch a movie on release night "pure" is to buy every seat in the house and watch from the very middle seat of the theater, completely nude. Star Wars Episode 7 was no exception to this. I certainly gave the movie a "standing ovation" after it was finished.
The only times I can remember the audience at my theatre doing anything audible [sp]Laughing when Rey told that stormtrooper to drop his blaster, and maybe when those two stormtroopers stopped and walked away when Kylo was having a tantrum[/sp]
Fun fact: that storm trooper was played by Daniel Craig

I feel lucky because my theatre was full of quiet people. Everyone was clearly enjoying the film and laughed at the funny parts but there wasn't any hootin and a hollerin over it.
It was the weirdest thing. For some reason someone at my viewing decided that even though that had been perfectly content with sitting quietly through all the Leia scenes in the movie so far, right near the end they decided to start yelling out a style of catcalling and whooping at her and stuff. But it was great otherwise, everyone found BB-8 thumbs funny, and we all cheered when the adverts stopped and the movie finally started.

Damn it, it was taken down and I wanted to show somebody. Anyone got a mirror?
