Is everyone in this thread in on some kind of elaborate rouse where we pretend that Disturbed is popular? Because I've always heard people rip on them for being a band people listened to in middle-school to be edgy.
Don't care what people think.
Hell I'm the only Canadian who will openly admit that he listens to and enjoys Nickleback. Because apparently up here it's a sin to listen to them. I don't get it.

Hating Nickleback is a meme

Hating Nickelback means you have some taste.
I grew up listening to Disturbed, gotta say I like their sound sometimes the lyrics are ehh but IMO they sound good. Not to mention their cover of Land of Confusion is GOAT.
Time for guilty pleasures again.

Usually when I listen to songs, I ignore the lyrics and enjoy the voice as its own instrument.
Speaking about music in general, some songs are better with voice, other desperately need instrumentals.

Hating things is actually a sign you lack class.
There's nothing wrong with liking repetitive things. The lyrics are kind of weird but their music and the guy's voice are really good at what they're shooting for.
Also that video was some fucking thing I tell you what

Says the guy with a hitler avatar. Yeah ok, cool wrong opinion.
If you guys think this song is amazing i cant imagine what your other music taste are like. I dont mean that in an insult way, i do like this song, its good but not "AMAZING". Disturbed has amazing songs but this isnt one of them but it is a good song.
The last album Disturbed put out is the very first album in my life I returned to the store after I bought it. I remember listening to the Sickness in Highschool, and it was good, then Believe Was ok, the next two, not so much. The last album I had a huge problem with all the damn rhyming, which means you've run out of shit to say as a writer, and the second I heard "Humanity -lyrics - insanity" on this song, I hit pause on youtube and shut it down. No thanks. I'll wait till they write something else.
It sounds alright. It's really nothing too unique or special IMO.

Yeah a lot of his lyrics are about politics. Some of them work, most don't.

This would be fine, if it had some real content, instead of working to get the next line to have a word at the end that rhymes with the last line. That's just fishing for words out of the blue.
RATM functioned as a band with purely political music, but that was well thought out words, not junk. The sickness seemed more like an anger album, with little real world attributes, and Believe touched base on religion and god, but these recent things, I personally believe are about nothing.

Yes they did as well, till their few albums before Serj took to his solo thing, but no - the name is not from them.
I recently started going over my 400+ CD collection of stuff I mostly bought in highschool. Some stuff i go back to and realize I notice a lot more about the songs than i did then. Then I just liked how they sounded, now I am a bit more critical to content.
For instance, the self-titled Godsmack album - almost every song has "stay away from me," "keep away from me" "get away" "go away" or something of the sort - which to me now just seems like lazy writing.

Yeah thats the way i feel about Staind. I use to listen to their Chapter 5 album all day but now ive realized its just nonsense.
This music video is something alright
Great to hear they're back. Video was more funny than anything though, and seems rather "Hatred"-esque.
My name is Disturbed, but what's really disturbing is what I'm going to do. I just fucking hate social media and my classmates feasting on it's corpse. My whole life is just sickness, and I always wanted to bring that sickness down, This is the time of judgement and no bully is worth saving, and I will drag with my wallet chain as many as I can to my grave with me. It's time for me to WOO, and it's time for me to AH AH AH AH. I am the hand of god, I am the dark messiah, I am the vengeful one.
holy fuck, this video is incredible. the song doesn't have to be great to enjoy that fucking masterpiece. i watched in rapt awe as the grim reaper laser-beamed a demon out of the window of a faux empire state building and chucked a ball of cameras into the goddamn sun
Video was great, Song was pretty good.
I been getting back into Disturbed lately, glad to see they're rolling new shit out.
Never listened to them.
Get down with the sickness boys and girls.
Brings back memories of like middle school.
