The subreddit, which they actually check from what I tell, is basically tearing it a new one. Good, to be honest.
maybe they'll get their shit together and actually pay attention to the game now
or maybe pay more attention to the footage theyre about to upload. if its all about their jokes and not about how theyre playing the game then just make an hour long video podcast or something where the focus of the video isnt what one single game theyre playing is. imo. make it once a week and boom you're done.
To be honest, I didn't understand what they were supposed to do either, since they had walked up to the fire several times with the present and nothing showed up, until that one time where it flashed for a split second.
the narrator says in the damn intro to burn the present
you guys complain too much, who cares the video was funny even if they didn't accomplish anything.
More episodes should be like You Don't Know Jack. They actually are paying attention to the game and they play off of it. The One Piece Mansion episode is also a good example.
I do think YDKJ is up there with Goof Troop in how it was executed.
They should have saved this one for april fools.
I didn't think it was that bad. Sure they need to pay attention more, but I watch Game Grumps for Jon and Arin more than the games they play, so I wasn't really bothered.
Despite the fact that they didn't advance at all, I couldn't care less for this game, it looks lame as fuck. But the commentary was hilarious.
Ahahahahh.
Tweet from Retsupurae: "@GameGrumps Please don't make any more bad videos. Our* inbox is effin' flooded." Beautiful.
hey jon there are these things called screens (that's where the game appears) and occasionally on those screens words (the things you title videos with) appear look at the screen, watch for words to appear, the words tell you important things
I really wish they do more Basara. That was a really fun let's play
Naughty Bear is a shit game but yeah they pretty much should have gone Conker's Bad Fur Day on the whole Naughty Bear idea and just left it.
the only problem is that they didn't pay attention to the games intro which would have given it some context and probably led them to know what to do really the only thing they are doing. i dont mind when they talk over cutscenes, i don't watch to listen to the game i watch to listen to them. but they should probably at least listen to the intros.
This is what happens when you skip tutorials and are too interested in your own conversations that aren't about the game to actually give a shit about the game they should start a podcast or something
If they know it's going to be a shitty episode (i.e. apologizing to the audience a lot), they should at least fast-forward to where we can see some progress.
If they know it's going to be a shitty episode (i.e. apologizing to the audience a lot), they should at least fast-forward to where we can see some progress.
or just scrap the current recordings, read the tutorials and play it again The game really doesn't look bad at all, I don't know where Jon's comment came from, it's just the grumps being bad at it
They should really stop blind-playing games At least one of them needs to have played it before or they end up just fucking around, Sonic 06 is the only exception
How the hell were they even playing it badly? The game didn't say what you need to do other than "get this many points" and "burn the present", which they attempted to do several times but the prompt for it only came up once for like a split second.
They did realise they were supposed to get points though, and they had controls shown to them on the load screen which they completely ignored.
But they did figure out the controls, they tried out all the buttons.
They should really stop blind-playing games At least one of them needs to have played it before or they end up just fucking around, Sonic 06 is the only exception
I assumed the reason they weren't paying attention to sonic 06 was because they were just bored of it, which I assume is why they've stopped making episodes for it. The other videos they've made so far were quite good.
Next episode starts with 5 minutes of them slowly reading each and every word of the instructions. The rest is spent going nowhere because it's still a shitty counterintuitive game.
To be honest, I didn't understand what they were supposed to do either, since they had walked up to the fire several times with the present and nothing showed up, until that one time where it flashed for a split second.
Intro said to burn the present, and there was text in the bottom left hand corner telling you to destroy the present. That seems pretty clear to me.
I don't even understand why they are bothering with recent games like naughty bear. Sonic 06 is really the one exception of a relatively recent game they are playing through and that isn't boring as shit to watch. They should really stick to coop games, random old shit tier games and from time to time give better games they already know a try, but blind-playing games at random with no attention paid to what's going on is boring. I wouldn't be surprised if one of those episodes (even the infamous naughty bear one) would end up on retsupurae.
Intro said to burn the present, and there was text in the bottom left hand corner telling you to destroy the present. That seems pretty clear to me.
Except they tried to do that several times and the prompt to do so only appeared once and only for a split second.
Except they tried to do that several times and the prompt to do so only appeared once and only for a split second.
or they could have paid attention to the fucking game and listen to the narrator during the cutscene
i wasn't paying attention enough to already figure out what they were supposed to do and get mad about it, so i kinda enjoyed the episode. i do see the problem now that i've rewatched it. i guess they'll figure it out in part 2, if there was 2 parts of them in the same area i really doubt they'd end up going through with it.
or they could have paid attention to the fucking game and listen to the narrator during the cutscene
Fucking again, they KNEW THAT, they tried doing it like 3 times but the prompt to do so did not show up. Jesus, can you not read? Or did not even watch the video?
