While the huge hordes are impressive, it looks really generic. I'm much more interested in State of Decay 2 even though there is no gameplay yet.
At first when he took that blue cylinder out of the truck I was like "oh looks like crafting is in this game". Then he screwed it onto his pistol. What? :v:. How do Blue thing from truck engine + pistol = silencer?

Learn something new everyday :v:
Other than the shitty gun sounds it looks pretty good for a game not coming out for another year.
It's damn pretty. I hope it stays that way. For almost all of the gameplay trailer i was yelling at him to keep running and stop turning around to shoot. Unless dead zombies get in the way of the others, which would be a great mechanic. That's something i have yet to see in zombie games, fluid mechanics as applied to a horde of moving creatures.

Imagine a total-war styled RTS where you're scrambling with ragtag groups of soldiers+militiamen to hold off against the horde
It's an oil filter.
Holy shit why isn't this used more in games?
This has a ton of potential. Horde-based fast zombies are not done nearly enough.
Holy shit why isn't this used more in games?
Probably because it looks foolish as hell, haha. You'd need a character with decent improvisational skills to find a good way to secure one on the gun, but other than that it would it in pretty much any post-apoc / rag-tag militia type of game.
This actually looks really cool. Hopefully it's coop.
Holy shit why isn't this used more in games?
You can get a oil filter supressor in PAYDAY 2, but as expected it blocks your sights super badly. It's a neat thing, but I guess most games prefer less obstructive attachments.
Looks really fun. Almost got the same feeling there as I got when I first seen L4D and Dead Rising.
this looks like it started life as a last of us spinoff/sequel it's even made by the same devs that did the uncharted spinoff
At first I thought I'm looking at the Ride to Hell Retribution 2 :v:
looked like the zombies had absolutely no weight whatsoever. when they were shot they dropped like balloons 3 days after a birthday party.
I'm assuming they're all a one A.I. horde tied to a "particle" system instead of individual models? Wouldn't this explain the flunky behavior when they get shot since they function more as one entity as a whole, it would put a lesser load on the proccesing right? Kinda like this.
Wow LA Beast lost some weight
The horde swarming over each other brought back a lot of L4D memories. I'm interested.
The dude's got so much ammo he probably doesn't need to worry about that army of zombies in the end of the gameplay video.
Meh, it looked promising at first, but this is scripted gameplay and looks too staged to tell me what the real gameplay is actually going to be like. In the whole pursuit scene the player could of ran to the roof without stopping to turn around to ogle and shoot the zombies, shoot any canisters or activate anything. @4:20 looked funny, with the zombie that looks like it literally got clotheslined because it stepped too far past the scripted event before the timer for it was up. With that said though, I have been waiting for a zombie horde type of game like this for years since L4D and this looks stunning, I don't doubt this will have coop and I can't wait to see some real gameplay.
Am I the only one who thought that trailer was scripted as hell?
Starkiller was a biker? nice to see Sam Witwer, he's awesome
Am I the only one who thought that trailer was scripted as hell?
Welcome to E3.
The dude's got so much ammo he probably doesn't need to worry about that army of zombies in the end of the gameplay video.
And he walked right in between the edge of the group when he needed to get to one point near the end.
Extended look at ten minutes of gameplay plus HUD. Looks like the game is very much still work in progress. Considering this game hit full production in January of 2015 I do have to say this looks pretty good. I wonder how scripted the game will actually be, this area looks pretty dynamic and you can probably just haul ass, but for the sake of the demo the player just runs about. Looking real good.
The horde swarming over each other brought back a lot of L4D memories. I'm interested.
Reminds me more of World War Z and the zombie tidal waves.
The teaser trailer at the start of the conference was way more interesting than the actual gameplay IMO This looks like it's harping way too much on Last of Us, and if their only hook is "... well there are lots of zombies!" then that really doesn't grab me at all. I've played Last of Us (very similar if not almost identical themes/setting/etc) and played tons of games that just try and show off how many zombies they can render. I feel like this'll have a high chance of being another Order 1886 all over again (flashy looking but zero substance) unless there is something more to the final product.
