How do we get them to understand that gamers aren't sexist pigs whacking their meat around? Does the American Media even give a shit about gamergate, or gaming in general? I'm sure they'd rather talk about the Academy Awards, or the upcoming Presidential race. Even if the news gets interested in what the gaming industry is doing, what's to keep them from turning us into strawmen monsters while Anita and Kotaku get away and do whatever because they're the forefront of this Liberal leaning America.

Isn't the phrase "female friendly games" sexist by itself? As in it implies females can't enjoy certain games when there's countless examples of exact opposite? It's really fun to watch them bring up GTA. They make such a big deal of the prostitutes when there are worse things happening. Mainstream media begins one sided coverage of gamergate, siding with the journos in claiming that gamergate hates women, all women in gamergate have "internalized misogyny" and a bunch of other stupid shit 6. new gaming journalism sites are promoted, almost every existing site changes ethics policy to some degree(not all to satisfaction), even the anti-gamergate ones. 7. the FCC begins enforcing several preexisting rules about disclosing advertorial content in direct result to gamergate petitioning the FCC to do so. 8. lots and lots of other shit that nobody got time for but ranges from entertaining to terrible then just in the past week of significance: 8chan suffers nearly 5 days of ddosing, false reports on twitter resulting in temporary suspension of the 8chan twitter account, false reports to cloudflare, resulting in SJW butthurt when they realize all cloudflare does is forward the reporter's and reportee's contact information to eachother since they're not a host, and false reports to internetbs, 8chan's domain registar resulting in the site's primary domain being down for 6 hours or so. yesterday pc gamer releases an article comparing the "pc master race" satirical meme to nazism, in response gamergate looks into the writer and discovers the writer has been giving ubisoft games tons of positive press while in a relationship with a ubisoft PR employee, without disclosing it to readers or viewers of those articles and youtube videos, all of the videos articles and tweets are pulled in silence and he changes his facebook profile to hide evidence of his relationship, no apology or official statement given. Today, pcgamer takes a news story from r/pcmasterrace, the group they were comparing to nazis, and mis-cites it claiming polygon, a corrupt gaming journalism site "verified" the story. Original post author has no idea what the hell they are on about.

I was mad how fucking out of left field that was and how senseless it was to the plot and was just glorified violence with a hackneyed "TORTURE ISN'T EFFECTIVE" political statement. But no one talks about that scene. Maybe polygon ran an article, who knows, but there weren't any prostitutes in that scene so it wasnt worth getting offended about. The largest news organization through media affiliation in the world is CNN. CNN's top non-incidental draw is [i]Nancy Grace[/i]. Who's the most watched american agency? Fox, an organization routinely fact checked by other agencies on an almost daily basis. Games are worth money. A lot of money. Whomever controls how and why games are made pretty much controls the primary source of entertainment revenue for the next thirty to fifty years, and essentially progressive conservatives want controlling interest.
