The one in wolfenstein the new order was pretty shitty, sadly.
As much as there's a satisfying rack of a shotgun, so is there that well-placed blast of both barrels at once.
Why not both?
We need a double-barreled pump-action shotgun

Like a Remington 1740?
Gah, I knew it was going to be an XboxAhoy video before I even clicked the thread.
I remember when I was 12, checking in every week for his new MW2 weapon guides, it was amazing how much depth he went into for a game as shallow and arcadey as CoD (and how he's generally an amazing video editor and player too, despite being on console)
I found the Wolfenstein: New Order Double Barrel to be extremely satisfying to use.
sad that it was only in one mission
The player has some balls going up against a pseudogiant with the sawed-off shotgun. I won't even fight those unless I have a ranged advantage
Full-length complete-stock double-barrels are pastorally superb

In my experience I've always found a shotgun in a game to be either
A) the best gun in the game
or
B) the worst gun in the game

I still think sawn-off double barreled shotguns with just a grip and no stock are the coolest looking.
doom's chaingun never gets any love for me except when I need to make chaingunners on some pillar in the distance fuck right off
supershotty or bust
sad that it was only in one mission
Two actually.
Still not enough. Never got to dual wield them.
the problem with shotguns in games are that their spread is too large, much larger than they are irl

Or
C) Both depending on situation.

They'd be overpowered if they weren't.
The double barrel in PAYDAY 2 used to be absolutely amazing fun but they completely ruined it with nerfs
RIP

I'm glad XboxAhoy is doing much more than just CoD videos, as much as I loved watching all of his guides.
My favourite is the one in Hotline Miami. With the right mask you can somehow load three shots into two barrels :v:

Have fun lugging that heavy thing around.
I'll just take a .45 Colt. A perfect American welcome.

S&W Shofield Model 3 for me, please.
Funny, I just watched Lock, stock and two smoking barrels last night :v:
As much as double-barrel has it's place in history I'm more of pump-action fan.
there's nothing more appealing than the gratifying feel and sound of racking in a new shell.
Well I do love using shotguns in FPS'(particularly ones that have gore like Wolfenstein where it's even more satisfying to use them), I prefer to use weapons that have a bit more versatility such as being effective at most ranges rather than just close quarters and vice-versa with sniper and bolt-action rifles, which are typically better in long to medium range.
The reason why shotguns aren't very good in ArmA is because, ArmA primarily focuses on long to medium range combat where it's better to have a rifle than a shotgun and hell even in close quarters, most people in ARMA prefer to have a rifle or SMG than a shotgun, but that's primarily because the close-quarters combat in ARMA isn't as good as most as other games, or at least in ARMA 1 and 2, can't say anything about ARMA 3 because there is no shotguns in it outside the ones released by the community.
Old School Flashpoint's Resistance had a double barrel shotgun, I played many a game armed with a farmer shotgun driving a tractor around liberating town after town from the soviet menace.
