Admit it, you started this thread just to flaunt your anti-police standpoint.

I started this thread because I thought the video was funny, if I wanted to do some real idealogical flaunting I would have taken it to SH with some super biased news site as a source.

Oh another poster who doesn't understand the differences between sovereign citizens and cop blockers, wow
What's a cop blocker? I've never heard the word before.
Is it like the left wing equivalent of a sovereign citizen or something?

Just aomeone who films and sometimes tries to prevent police from breaking the law. Sovereign citizens are an extremist group, cop blockers arent

here's the view from Ricky's cam. You can clearly hear the cops lie about the law and see them illegally detain a citizen.

cop blockers and sovereign citizens are two sides of the same coin
also why did you quote me twice

"They done fucked with the wrong person."
This is sovereign citizen shit man. If I were in the area I'd be getting away before the glocks came out upon hearing that. I don't know if that's a threat of violence, but it's certainly a threat.
I don't know what the laws of the area are, I can't argue whether what the officers did was illegal or not, but if you think that rolling up on a bunch of officers as a group and shouting obscenities at them is an effective method of police reform, you're out of your goddamn mind.

Did i ever claim it to be efficient at police reform? Its a funny video, the cops get busted and cant do shit about it because they know theyre wrong.
Many cop blockers, like those who perform peaceful first amendment audit protests, are effective at getting the ball rolling for police reform
ay BABY yawmwen is BACK BAYBEE
now we just need cody8295 to comment that molotovs are harmless and the circle will be complete
Many cop blockers, like those who perform peaceful first amendment audit protests, are effective at getting the ball rolling for police reform
More like putting police on edge because the differences in the behavior between a "peaceful cop blocker" and someone pulling out a gun and randomly shooting them is nonexistent up until the last 2 seconds before the latter starts shooting.
People like you just hate cops regardless of the context, usually because your life revolves around assorted illegal activities, completely oblivious to the fact that the people you so fervently despise probably don't give a single solitary fuck about your existence one way or another beyond the scope of the job that they are performing. Maybe if you cut the drugs out and acted like a civilized human being around cops they wouldn't have any reason to give you a hard time. Nahh. Can't be that. They must all be pigs right?

Lol i love you fools who think like this. Never said all cops are bad, never even implied it, yet these assumptions get made so you can feel justified in defending lawlessness of law enforcers. How does drug use have anything to do with wanting cops to obey the law, please tell me?

How does acting like a view-whoring obnoxious bag of dicks help improve police performance? Do you think those guys went home and kicked off their shoes and went, "Tomorrow I'm going to be more respectful to pedestrians and make sure I can cite code every time I stop someone."
Nah, they were thinking, "Man, I hope those worthless fuckers' moms don't lose their jobs anytime soon because their YouTube channel isn't going to pay their rent." They'll feel disdain for the people they're supposed to protect. The social contract between law enforcement and the public may be in tatters, but those guys are pissing on the ashes and bragging about it.
And you think it's funny.

Its hilarious, and yeah maybe a few of those cops had an epiphany "why the fuck do we keep enforcing our laws outside of our jurisdiction? Maybe its time to stop"
You generalizing every cop blocker as a view whoring youtuber is like saying all cops are bad.

I'm not generalizing all cop blockers as view whoring youtubers. I don't know how you came up with that strawman out of my post.
But these guys in this video you made this thread about sure as fuck act like view whoring youtubers.
You do seem to pretty neatly fit into the prototypical cop hating druggie pigeon hole.
I don't agree with cody8295's hostility towards cops and I have nothing but respect for what police have to deal with on a daily basis (including this video), but his personal habits are pretty irrelevant to the topic.
I smoke weed myself but that doesn't intrinsically mean I fear or hate cops, and it's a pretty weak argument to make, especially with North American countries getting closer and closer to decriminalization/legalization.
I don't care about the mannerisms of the cops or the "cop blocker"s, and I'm not sure why this thread is a big argument over that.
Could someone tell me more about the actual issue? Pretend the cop blockers were not even there and just focus on the cops.
I'm predisposed to side with Starpluck because of the obnoxious behaviour of the blockers, but that doesn't matter at all if the cops were actually doing something illegal.
In particular I'm hoping that Starpluck will explain his view of the legality involved in the cops' actions here, since he hasn't done so yet.

Find me five examples of people that aren't.
I'll get you twenty, easy.

Starpluck doesnt have an explanation beyond "cody8295 is stupid because he calls out cops when they break the law".
What the cops did was illegal.
What the cops did was illegal.
It literally wasn't though.

Enforcing a law that is contradictory to the law of the land youre on is not legal. Theres no ordinance in LA that prevents riding bicycles on the sidewalk

Doing a couple google searches actually says it heavily depends where you are, how fast you're going, and shit like that.
The cops could have had a really good reason to stop him and handcuff him and all that. We don't know what happened before the camera started rolling.

If you actually read the posts in this thread you'll see that rickys (the guy who gets illegally detained) camera is rolling from well before the cop pulls up. The cop has no good reason
[editline]13th May 2016[/editline]
The cop says you cant ride bikes on the sidewalk, and yet they drove off without so much as a ticket being written. Did they know they were escalating a situation for no reason? Probably

lmao fuck off
I'm pro cop but this is the worst thing I have ever seen. you know damn well that cops aren't lawyers. they don't know the law any better than you or me.
in any case the place to fight the law is in the courts, not on the streets. fighting the law on the streets just gets you tazed at best

Yeah just one of those people that values constitutional freedoms and expects cops to follow the law, fuck me right?

If it's not effective and/or efficient then it seems pretty fucking stupid to support it imo.

Terry stop? Fuck outta here with your supreme court nonsense. Didnt you know cops are allowed to do anything because they have a badge? It doesnt matter if he wasnt breaking any laws because hes a no good cop blocker whos also likely addicted to drugs
