Stating the obvious, but this is definitely fake as hell, that blood is guaranteed fake, too thick, it's like corn syrup.
Yeah I really think it's fake, the wound just looks like some very well done Halloween make up.
that ball would have to be going extremely fast to bounce back at that velocity. Faster then that slingshot should be capable.
that ball would have to be going extremely fast to bounce back at that velocity. Faster then that slingshot should be capable.
if you look at the footage from the second one, there was already noticeable downcurve on the bounce-back. There's no way, even if it missed the bottle and just struck the wall, would it have taken a straight dive upward to his head
This guy is cool, I don't get why he'd fake such a thing though.
could be some of that snazzy ~viral marketing~ jazz and it'll tie into that movie people are saying he'll be in
If it's fake then he made a pretty damn good job. Let's hope it's fake.
Even considering it being fake, the execution was awesome as shit, would have been even better with less obvious give aways.
This is the first video I've seen from this guy. So what does he do? Make things that can potentially kill people? I'm guessing this is fake. It may just be an ironic joke at how "safe" the slingshot is.
Play it at .25 you can see the cut.
It cuts twice. First the angle on the sky (and lighting, cameras don't adjust THAT fast) and then just over the ground, angle on tree - clean cut again.
It's very obviously fake.

[editline]27th September 2013[/editline]
It's very obviously fake.
The video would have probably been more convincing if they deliberately presented it as a reason for Joerg's future absence, with this wife or his friends doing the intro, and not having the video labeled as untitled. It appears to be obvious that the whole thing was meant to be a "strong joke" more than anything.
It wasn't the glass, the metallic ball bounced off and opened his skull.
Oh, it looked like a bit of glass to me :v: not to mention it seemed kinda silly that the ball would fly back like a bouncy ball instead of smashing through the glass.
Initial thoughts were wondered when this guy would injure himself. Obviously staged though.
There's blood on her hand before she even touches him, so
The ending cut is perfect. He already looks hes about to turn into a zombie. It's obviously a little show of how things could look in the movie, and since so many people think its real, must be pretty good.
How could any of you even be fooled by this, for serious. It's not even that well edited.
I agree it's obviously fake but I don't think it's because of the editing As in, the edits are a big reason, but because of what edits were used and how, and not because they were poorly done
It seems fake to me, but to be fair he does deal with some deadly shit with barely any protection and accidents do happen. I wouldn't be surprised if something really happened one day. Those steel balls he uses as ammo can fuck anything up.
Know I'm not the first, but looks really fake. The blood seems a bit unreal (the viscosity looks really off), the camera falls in a really weird, unnatural way not to mention it cuts, and the way he fell after the rock ricocheted to him looked unnatural (he started moving before the rock reached him but he could've just been stepping back). He didn't seem to jolt either.
Guys this is real I just got off the phone with him and he's dead.
Guys this is real I just got off the phone with him and he's dead.
RIP.
It doesn't look fake to me.
thing that clicked for me that it was fake as we've all agreed it is, is that unless you somehow hit the ball into another perfectly positioned slingshot the chance of a metal ball hitting a surface and not losing a significant amount of velocity in the process is nil.
It's not a coincidence his latest slingshot was designed to shoot his body into space Spock style. This was slingshot euthanasia.
I can't tell if there is a tube or not at 1:55 but it does look like it
maybe he wanted to test his film making skills and see the reactions, to test if he could fool anyone with makeup etc.
It's fake. If you look at the first two shots, you can see the ball velocity after reaching target. In the first, he shots a plastic bottle, and the ball stays INSIDE of it. In the second, you can easily see the ball bouncing down below the bottle on the return trajectory. In the "Damning" shot, the ball not only doesn't go down, it goes straight up like a bullet right into his face. Granted, on that attempt, he missed the target, so the ball might've come back faster than it should've. I could pull out the argument "He's a pro, he wouldn't be dumb enough to put himself in the range of danger in case shit goes bad" , but ever since FPS Russia guy almost killed his cameraman (And himself), I'm not so sure.
Pretty convenient camera angle isn't it Def fake
