Also IIRC, the scene with Luke meetings Biggs on Yavin was originally cut, but was added back in with one the special editions?
The scene of Luke and Biggs getting back together was re-introduced back in the Special Editions however it doesn't make any sense. Since the Tosche Station scene was cut and we didn't learn about Biggs or his desire to leave the planet and head for the Rebellion, the viewer sees a scene where Luke finds someone who is supposed to be one of Luke's friends from Tatooine and they chat. The viewer wasn't properly introduced to Biggs at the start and there really isn't any reason for him to be there. Imo, makes his death feel even more worthless during the fight because Luke reacts when he's killed and the viewer doesn't know why Luke cares for Biggs when we didn't know anything about him except for the people who have watched the Tosche Station clip.
Didn't clones age at twice the rate of normal humans, and as time went on their gene seed degenerated as well? The first-generation clones, if any were remaining, would be pushing their mid-50s physically by the beginning of A New Hope. The clones had been pre-produced in their billions by the Kaminoans to be sent off to battle, but the Empire had thousands if not millions of worlds to control. Conscripting non-clones, at the very least, would have been necessary, even if the Emperor would have preferred to continue using the remaining clones.
Not to mention, apparently twenty years after the Clone's conception, the Empire sent in a detachment to deal with a Clone rebellion on Kamino that was successfully quelled with the help of Boba Fett. The result was that the Jango Fett cloning template ended up being a minority for combat and Stormtroopers, and a wider variety of cloning templates and facilities were utilized to avoid another incident like that, as well as the policy of 'birth-born' Humans being enlisted eventually that ultimately phased out the clonings.

But its just a name drop. By at least 5 years after ROTS clones were already being phased and replaced by recuits/draftees out according to the new story material.

I really need to cut through some of the new story material, it's been a while. Last explanation I remember post prequels was that many were clones, and the top 5% of non-clone troopers had their DNA entered into the pool.

Most Star Wars material released before April 25, 2014 is non-canon now. The only things kept canon were the Clone Wars TV show and the Movies. Almost everything released after that date is canon. I suggest taking a look at wookieepedia, they have the pages split between 'Canon' and "Legends' tabs. Legends is the new brand for the old Material.
There is a theory that the stormtroopers only aim 'terribly' at Skywalker and co because Vader/ the Emperor want to get close to him. It's clear that the Galactic Empire has a relatively competent military, or else they wouldn't have survived almost 20 years against billions of rebels. We only really see the stormtroopers aiming poorly in the films whenever they're attacking the main characters, and since Darth Vader can clearly detect Luke and Obi Wan's presence as soon as they arrive, it's not shocking.
In Jedi Knight II some Stormtroopers complain about how their guns have way to much recoil to fire accurate repeated shots. Plus they also refuse to use the friggin fold out stock to compensate

In the opening scene of A New Hope the Stormtroopers accompanying Vader as they take over Leia's ship fucking slaughter the rebels. Most of the other fights involving rebels fighting Empire forces have the rebels missing just as much as, if not more than, the Stormtroopers.

It's a movie guys. Of course the heroes won't get fucking shot, at least not until the end.
Governor Tarkin: Are they away? Darth Vader: They've just made the jump into hyperspace. Governor Tarkin: You're sure the homing beacon is secure aboard their ship? I'm taking an awful risk, Vader. This had better work.
Han Solo's indignant "Scum?" is actually quite a character development moment. Can't imagine him objecting to being called that in IV
I really like the Biggs scenes, actually. They give more development to Biggs than just being Luke's wingman, and it also gives Luke even more motivation to join the Rebellion.
