You need a Ubisoft account ( you might need uplay?)
There's in-game preorder bonuses
There's a "gold" edition
Can't wait to play with various content already cut from it!
I was hyped before it turned into another ubisoft game.
Almost all of things are completely removed from the actual game. The only "bonuses" are just an outfit and one gun.
Most of the videos are Sponsored, so I doubt any of them will say anything bad for a while.
But I really want this game to be good.
I'll have to find it again, but I watched a video of a guy who didn't play the alpha(so no NDA) but talked to a bunch of people who did and no one had any big complaints, except bullet sponginess iirc. That's something that can be fixed with balance IMO though.
An outfit and gun that should be in the base game.
Who the hell cares. It's one item from probably hundreds that are in the game.

Have you ever used a 'Pre-order exclusive' weapon? More than half the time it's just a novelty skin thrown on a piece of shit weapon. You lose out on literally nothing by not having it.
There are a lot of things to complain about with modern AAA games and purely cosmetic preorder bonuses are really at the bottom of that list.
My friend preordered this game years ago when he thought it was going to be DayZ. Lol he's gonna be in for a surprise.
Not a big fan of the HUD. Looks like there's too much stuff on the screen.
I was cautionarily optimistic but it just looks like another destiny to me. I was hoping for some more open world like.

This tbh i was hoping it was gonna be a more open worldly game, sort of like a futuristic military last of us but multiplayer.

It's Ubisoft, preordering anything from them is quite dumb to be honest.

I love how the important stuff is centered tho

yeah but they've done the fucking stupid move of making it the only way to access the beta.
In the Funhaus video I noticed something.

Might be a little bug, could mean they were on PC? The rest of the time it showed Xbox prompts.
wow, nice job on the advertising guys forgetting to mention this is a complete bullet-sponge borderlands-esc rpg instead of a solid tps
there goes all my interest in the game instantly

Maybe it's like e3 where they show console games running on PC and pretend it's a console
i just hope you can change your character's outfits..
I never thought it looked that interesting even at the E3 reveal
Its got to the point where any idea that seems this interesting on the face of it, with abandoned cities and suburbia, survival themes etc I know is just going to be shitty and shallow because I know the average game development cycle won't put nearly enough content in for it to live up to it

Yeah, you can. Cosmetic items are treated separately compared to the other equipment.
Angryjoe made a good video in which he also asked some questions.

this video shows off the game pretty damn well. Just have to try the beta now and see if I like it
This game has looked like a totally generic third person shooter since they announced it 3 fucking years ago and it hasn't changed one bit
now that we know it's a generic third person shooter with slapped on RPG grindfest gameplay I can't wait to see all the people whining about it being thoroughly mediocre after preordering it like dipshits

I mean i was anticipating it before but it's gotten even sweeter now
Does this still have Tom Clancy's name tagging along with it?
They're really dragging his name through the dirt with the latest games, they're more arcade shooters than anything else. Rainbow Six: Siege is fun and all, and this doesn't look all that bad, but they just aren't Tom Clancy games. At this point, they're just using the franchise names to make more dosh, completely forgetting what type of games they were supposed to be in the first place.
You could easily have a game like this exist without bullet sponge enemies. Instead of making enemies have higher HP or guns do more damage, scale the difficulty with technology. Lower level enemies have their guns, maybe grenades, and that's it. As you move up, they pop smoke, have night vision, more accuracy at range due to optics, plate carriers, employ more effective strategies, etc. A low level player could still kill high level enemies, but he'd eventually get worked over by not being able to see through smoke and whatnot while the enemies can.
This shit is gonna have "dungeons" where unloading into a dude won't even scratch him because you/your gun aren't high enough level or some shit. Dumb as hell, man.
Siege is a better Tom Clancy hand than you're giving it credit for.
I'll probably pick it up. Really hoping they would have gone differently with the DPS combat. I know theres a lot of hate/hype/whatever around this game, but I've been pretty immune to it all.
The only thing I'm not digging is the bullet spongy enemies. Otherwise it looks pretty fun.
These videos mean nothing to me without any context of the action.
Damage numbers and RPG stats are not something I was expecting in a Tom Clancy game.

It's a good game. But enemies still take more shots to go down than they should, and it's got all of the rooty-tooty-point-and-shooty stuff you see in Call of Duty games (hitmarkers and whatnot). I am by no means bashing Siege, just saying, it is nowhere near being a Rainbow Six game. It doesn't have the massive arsenals and customization, it doesn't have the slow paced one-shot-kill gameplay, it doesn't have the "feel" of a Rainbow Six game. Vegas was a huge detour for the series, but even it managed to keep the core elements around.
I just think a more accurate title would be Siege instead of Rainbow Six: Siege.

any headshot is one shot, one kill though, so that to me negates the bullet spongey nature of chest shots, that and they're all wearing armor anyways.
And yeah i'll admit the customization is lacking, but the only game that really went ham on that was the least tom clancy game, Vegas.

Oh so the it works like the Secret World, where clothes don't determine your abilities and buffs, but instead trinkets do. So you can wear whatever you want.
