There's a lot that goes into both. One is just more popular because gaming is seen as stupid and childish.
I just feel like you probably have to get a lot luckier on the genetic slot machine to be a professional athlete. Because you have to learn how to play the game well AND have the perfect physical traits. Which is what I meant by the difference. Like if I suck at Counter-Strike, I know I just suck because I suck. Not because my body is completely incapable of doing what my brain wants it to.

Steve Nash doesn't have the genetics to excel at basketball, but he did.
What is PewDiePie doing if not excelling at streaming video games?
You're missing my point. People don't watch Pewdiepie because he's excelling at streaming, like how people watched Cosmo for excelling at speedrunning. I see where you're coming from (as, obviously, Pewdiepie excels at streaming), but that's not what draws people to him.
this applies for horror games for me; i can watch other people do it because i enjoy the feeling of getting spooked alongside a bunch of other idiots if you asked me to play P.T. by myself id tell you to take a cactus as a rectal suppository.
Whose girlfriend wouldn't hang out with Maddox?
Pat's Gf only likes them short so I didn't know Maddox was a little person.
